A few weeks ago I came to a realization that my birthday was soon approaching, I wanted to give myself a gift.....the gift was to UnStuff my Life. I wanted to enjoy the last stage of life without anxiety after collecting 35 years of clutter. I wanted to be able to spend my days at home in a relaxed and carefree environment. I was overwhelmed with the job of uncluttering and faced the fact that I could not do this big job alone. I went to the Thumbtack website and did a search on home organizers. I received responses and did interviews over the phone. I was very impressed with the responses given to me by Deborah Smith so I felt that I did not need a face to face interview. My home is located about 50 minutes from her home so I was fearful that she would not accept the job. I held my breath until she made an appointment to assess and begin the task if we were a fit.....phew! Now I can relax. Deborah help me choose items to purge, sort and find new homes for those items. It can be very emotional for the homeowner to purge because of the memories associated with the item. Deborah taught me some little techniques to be able to let go. I equated her job to that of a psychologist where she analyzed, worked with my insecurity and made subtle suggestions when I was in a quandary about keeping or purging. She taught me to prioritize and to realize that it is the memory and not the item itself. We were able to work in harmony with each other so the process became much easier and pleasant. I know that I am not perfect, therefore, I plan to have Deborah revisit at times to help with a quick tune-up.

I hired Go Green to clean the carpets in 5 rooms of my home. Initially I was worried because they were a few hours late getting to the house. However, when they arrived I found out that they were stuck in traffic, and they felt incredibly badly. They ended up going the extra mile and cleaning the carpets in 2 additional rooms for free to apologize for the lateness. I was really surprised and thankful to have the additional rooms cleaned, and I appreciated their willingness to make their customer happy with their work and service. I would definitely highly recommend this company to clean your home. Not only do they go the extra mile, but their price is also the best I have found.
My office/work area was cluttered and disorganized with papers, books and general stuff after a remodel. It was so overwhelming to me and I could not use the space. Emily came in started organizing "the stuff" as I went through papers. She then created files for all the paper stacks and put things in their place. Kristin helped me get my life back. I have a nice house, but it was such a disorganized mess that it was making me miserable. I had tried to get organized, but all the organizing "stuff" I bought, as well all my other stuff, only added to the clutter. I'm good at a lot of things, but organizing a home is not one of them, and I literally did not know what to do. So I turned to the Internet. I looked at Yelp. Kristin had great reviews, so I called her. She came over on a Saturday and spend the day restoring order to my home. I was so discouraged with my house that I just hid in my bedroom while Kristin did her magic. When I came out, it was like a weight been lifted off my shoulders, the sunshine through the clouds. LOL. Kristin took away all the Amazon boxes that had been piling up. She set up systems so that I could do things efficiently and logically--a place to put incoming mail, a place to put groceries, everything for making tea and coffee put together in the same location, etc. I have a lot of hobbies, and little bits and pieces of them were scattered all over the house. Kristin managed to gather, sort and organize all of them. Amazing. I was a little hesitant to hire an organizer because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find my things if somebody moved them. That ended up not being an issue at all, just the opposite. Now, if I want to find something and I don't know where it is, all I have to do is say, "Well, where is the logical place for it?" And there it is. Much better than my old method of trying to remember, searching the house, and then going out and buying a duplicate because I couldn't find what I needed. The best thing is now that my place is organized, I feel much more motivated and capable of keeping it this way on my own. I feel more serene now, and, my life is just, well, better. LOL. Highly recommended.

I wanted to share my recent experience with hiring Zen Life Organizing. Lien and Pamela came to our home to help us organize our play area and 'craft zone' in our home. We have a 5yr old and her toys were overtaking every room in our house. Lien and Pamela were extremely efficient, organized, detail-oriented, and had wonderful advice on how to avoid becoming overwhelmed again. Finding Marie has simply transformed my life! I had a house full of clutter with numerous rooms and closets in need of cleaning out and organizing. Marie is the perfect organizer. She is charming, very intelligent, gentle, but also insistent enough to convince you to donate or sell unneeded or unwanted items to provide space. We're midway through my project and half my home is now beautiful and clutter free. For the first time in many years, I can find the office supplies I need rather than going out and buying more. What a difference my space makes! Belina came into my office, evaluated my space and made changes with new colors and furniture, and used some existing furniture. The change is like night and day! Before I felt very overwhelmed and it seemed that I had very little space. My office felt small, stagnant, and cluttered. Now I feel like I can breathe! Elizabeth helped plan my daughter's 1-year birthday party. She organized all the vendors (food, cake, face painting, bartender) and handled the decorations.
