Sandra is an incredible personal trainer. I have been training with her for a month now and I am already noticing improved stamina, better form, motivated to workout. She tries to achieve a great balance of maximizing results without causing injury. She focusses a lot on delivering proper form. Sandra understands exactly what I need to do and provides me with tailor-made exercises that fit my level -they are not easy, because they shouldn't be. Each exercise challenges my limit and makes me feel proud! She ensures that workouts target areas that are important for good general health (i.e., legs, back, core). Overall great person, great attitude, a very knowledgeable trainer. Would highly recommend her.

I've worked with Justin from the Kula Team for personal training for the past six months. The dedication and passion he has for health and fitness is evident. From day one he works with you on a plan to achieve your goals. He incorporates fitness, diet and recovery into his plans to make sure you get results! He continually changes up the fitness routines to make sure your fitness levels keep improving. Each month we set a focus, a goal and reflect on the past month. Ive seen trainers in the past who very passively watch their clients. Justin is very involved making sure you have proper form and are being challenged. His feedback is effective and well-researched. When I had some issues with shoulder tightness I came in the next day and he was ready with some stretches and techniques to help target that! The Kula Team also has an amazing meal prep plan to get you started or to help you continue on the right path to health. Their bowls and snacks are tasty, varied and affordable! A little information about me. I've been overweight most of my life and have tried countless programs to lose weight and to regain my health. One thing I had never tried was personal training. In December 2016, I found Scott Meade through Thumbtack. Scott was the first Personal Trainer to respond to my inquiry. I felt an immediate connection with him. He invited me to meet him at the gym on a Sunday. He wanted to give me a tour of the gym and for us to have a casual chat. As an obese female, I was extremely nervous to meet him. He made me feel at ease and I appreciated the time he spent with me talking about his passions; exercise and nutrition. I sensed how genuine he was. His excitement is what jumpstarted my excitement to begin this journey with him. I started training with Scott on January 2nd. Here are just a few reasons why I need Scott besides me on this journey: 1) The guy knows his stuff. Not only is he physically fit, but he's also smart. He stays current in his field and never hesitates to share new information to help develop my knowledge. He doesn't just tell me what to do, he provides reasoning and teaches me along the way. 2) He believes in me more than I believe in myself. He never allows my mental blocks to stop me from doing my best. He's positive and encourages me to tap into my positive spirit. Not always easy. 3) He's responsive and organized. He stays on top of my nutrition and provides feedback on what I'm doing well and what I need to change. He doesn't sugar coat things because that's not how we achieve results. Totally makes sense. 4) He's creative with his workouts and thinks outside of the box. Workouts are never repetitious which helps keep me dialed in. I like the variety he incorporates in my plan. 5) When I'm in the gym with him, it's about ME. I could go on and on about Scott. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, reach out and meet him. You won't regret it. Meeting Scott was one of the best things that happened to me.

I started nutrition coaching with Rock in January of 2018. It was something I was curious about, but wasn't really sure what to expect. Rock walked me through what Precision Nutrition is, the philosophy, and habit change modality. After talking with him I thought it seemed accessible and doable. Nutrition coaching sounded so different then anything else I've ever tried when it came to dieting. I decided I need to see what it was all about. After 6 months of doing the program, I can't fully express how much shifts when you start making small changes. I feel more empowered to make decision about my nutrition instead of mindless eating. I also feel like this is something I can continue to improve on and see it as a lifestyle, not just a one and done diet. It's a slow process, which feels more sustainable. I'm someone who wants quick results, and can get discouraged, Rock reminds me that even the small wins are valuable. Most importantly, these daily check in's and habit changes are positively impacting other areas of my life. Who knew saying yes, to something like nutrition coaching could affect all areas of my life? Well, Rock did but he let's you figure that out for yourself. And that is the best part, Rock is here to support me in my growth, and not lecture at me what I "should" be doing. Its a true learning experience and something I'm looking forward to seeing how the next 6 months change my perspective and health. Immediate healing in tumors in lower abdomen ( one was like a mid size grapefruit, and the other one was like a golf-ball size). They disappered same day, after session. WOW! My pain was gone right away, and still gone in lower abdomen. Immediate healing in car-sickness, mental ballancing (before I used to switch over numbers, when I was writing). I was down on my luck and was pretty discouraged a few months ago before meeting Dr. Colgin. I did everything I felt like I was supposed to do to look and feel better. I lost 30 lbs for my wedding but then have started gaining some of it back again after changing jobs and relocating. I had a visit with my PCP, explaining to her my energy level was low but I’ve kept myself on a pretty strict diet and exercise regimen. She was pretty understanding and ordered some labs suspecting it may be either my thyroid levels and/or mental health issue. With all that was said and done, my cholesterol level was high and all my doctor told me was to watch what I eat and consider being more active. I was livid. I sought a 2nd opinion and found Dr. Colgin on Yelp and decided to give it a try. My main objective was to feel and sleep better. After meeting with Dr. Colgin and getting a comprehensive lab test done, he insisted there was nothing wrong with me. We decided together that the 4-week detox/cleanse program combined with some homeopathic drops and supplements will get me back on track. Four weeks later, here I am feeling great! I am sleeping through the entire night and not feeling as tired at all during the work day. I no longer require morning coffee. Overall throughout this entire process, I learned a lot about my body and its relationship with food. I am more mindful and I look forward to keep at it. An added plus – Dr. Colgin always made himself available to answer any questions and offer words of motivation when needed. Thanks so much for everything Dr. Colgin!

Amanda is absolutely above and beyond amazing in every single regard. She has such genuine care and love for the health of everyone. I completed her 21-day detox, and Amanda was there for me every step of the journey, and the results are amazing! and they last! I learned exactly which foods are causing inflammation and illness in my body, and now I can easily avoid them. My skin is staying clear for the first time since I was 13 years old; my chronic headaches are gone; my emotions are so much more balanced; I sleep like a rock. I have couple months training with Armando and I totally believe I made the right decision. During the last 5 years I’ve been putting up some weight and no feeling too proud about it, especially because I’m short and weight started to cause some foot and knee pain. I’ve always postponed work out, it was not my priority but after training with Armando, I feel like I need to go for a session every day so I can get my “Feeling good” dose. Armando’s positivism makes my work out enjoyable even though he pushes me and takes all my energy with every exercise. Armando has motivated me to keep going and give 100% every time we meet. He is professional, he listens, analyzes every piece of information I give him and he even suggests a relax/stretch session to get rid of stress I bring from work. When I first started, he analyzed my measurements, goals, posture, time and health and came up with a plan to target my problematic areas. I have only couple months training and I can see a few changes already. I feel more energetic and with the desire of keep going. Armando makes sure I have the right posture/form and execute moves in a proper way so that I can get the best from my workout and benefit from every move. I thank Armando for his support and guidance in every session and especially for pushing to keep a good nutrition. I would recommend Armando if you are serious about your work out. He is a great trainer; you will get the best of his knowledge and enthusiasm in every session.

Dee has a love of fitness and health that is infectious. She will help you achieve your peak fitness and make you love working out even more. She is great with athletes of all ages from children to seniors she will help you be your best. You will work hard with her and you will also have the time of your life as she encourages you, challenges you to be your best. She has also been very flexible working around my schedule by offering me sessions early in the morning and late afternoons which makes having a coach that's just as motivated as I am even better.

Man, where do I begin. Since day one Dante has always followed through on his promises. His words were, "in two weeks you will feel it, it four weeks you will see it, and in six weeks you will hear it!" When I heard someone tell me that I'd lost weight, that's when u knew I had invested in myself! I've been working out for years on my own, since I played football in high school actually. I know a lot, but Dante showed me a new world of fitness, and a whole new way of life in the gym. His workouts never repeat, and his exercises are his own. He's definitely a coach and a motivator. He pushes you! That's exactly what I needed. A push! I would never push myself the way he pushes me. I highly recommend him as you're coach.

I felt at ease with Judy from the moment I met her. She always has a smile on her face and really takes the time to get to know you as she works with you. I was really struggling with some personal problems when I started working with Judy and I am truly a different person now a year later. It can often be scary to seek help or go talk to someone, but Judy made the experience a pleasant one and I highly recommend her if you're looking for a life coach. I did lots of research on personal fitness trainers in the south bay area. I found Ron’s website, researched his training program and emailed him in regards to more information. He returned the email promptly and within the week we were meeting and discussing my goals and starting my training sessions the next week. Ron provides a complete package that is easy to follow yet aggressive to the goals that you are wanting. I have been with him for 9-weeks now and he has exceeded my expectations in a trainer. He is there by your side correcting your techniques; assist when needed but never lets you gives up. Each session he challenges you and provides positive reinforcements to keep you motivated. I am moving forward meeting my goals and Ron has helped provide me with that. Great trainer, very knowledgeable and a great mentor for getting yourself where you want to be physically and mentally. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what stage of fitness you are. He has set a great foundation for my future goal. Can’t thank him enough. If you need to improve your health and fitness Ron is your guy.

Personal Trainer Martin Villanueva In 2013, I began an ambitious plan to lose weight and “get in shape.” I was in such poor condition that I had difficulty breathing when I walked. I hadn’t done any exercise at all for 40 years. I hated the idea of exercise, but I knew I had to do something for my health. I met Martin, and asked him to help me. He began with simple exercises at my level giving me encouragement to continue with both cardio and resistance. We progressed at a pace just challenging enough to keep me trying, but not too difficult to be discouraging. Martin is a good listener. He used a variety of exercises so I would not get bored. How much does a nutritionist cost?

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.
