Neil has been awesome and I have learned so much since I started taking drum lessons with Neil about a year ago. I had been a recreational drummer for many years but was lacking guidance to take my drumming to the next level. Neil has a great program that focuses on reading music, playing rudiments and learning various drum beats for rock, funk and more. Neil also play bass, which has been a great accompaniment for practice sessions. In addition, Neil has given me great insights into practicing better with my band, tips for playing live and how to become a better musician in general. Very highly recommended!!
Thomas is a wonderful music teacher! He makes the lessons fun for the kids, and teaches in a style I wish I had learned when I was young. He teaches them the traditional notes, etc. but also teaches ear training, music theory, and rhythm (sometimes with drums). He's a great teacher for the entire family, for new students, and for experienced students. He has been teaching our family for the past year and we are so thankful we found him!
I have been learning violin and music theory from Sandra for a few years now. She is extremely knowledgeable, challenging and very patient. I highly recommend Sandra as a a music teacher. Leona Herod
Craig is fantastic! He's patient, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone wanting drum lessons.
I was skeptical initially when going online to seek a professional drum instructor for my son. Thumbtack made this process an experience parallel to buying an item from Amazon online. It was easy and I got immediate results.
I first saw Wally at a San Jose drum workshop and was speechless after seeing his playing and explanation of odd meter. Being a guitarist, I wondered if Wally would teach me. Six + years later, my lessons have evolved from scratching the surface of odd meter, learning how jazz chords and related elements work, to employing and using what I've learned in composition. I get excited and look forward to my lesson every week. Wally is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I highly recommend him as an instructor.
Henry's been really helpful in showing me the basics of percussion. I wanted to learn more so I could play in my community band and Henry's been teaching me snare, marimba, timpani and drum set. He's super sweet and really patient, I totally recommend him to all my musical friends!
Drum teacher is very busy but was able to help get my daughter in right away. Vast knowledge and experience.
Ryan Scott Long has been a joy to work with ever since he offered his talents and services for my album project! He not only did a fantastic job providing his drumming on my tracks by giving them just what they needed, but he also put his own drumming flavor, character, versatility and an array of sounds/styles that are uniquely him. Which is something i would hope to get in choosing a drummer. I got all that and more! He has guided me throughout making my album and has offered his insight for the future and wisdom throughout the whole process and helps with any questions! He is patient, creative, and resourceful! He also has provided his studio rec services and has a stellar ear for things and has good setup ideas for recing projects! His professional attitude, positive aura, fresh take on things and helpful presence, make him ideal for anyones future music projects! My album wouldnt of been the same without his musical talents and guidance throughout! Please give his services a try!
I've really enjoyed drum lessons with Gavin. He is a great drummer and funny guy! I don't have a drum kit and he is still able to give me assignments that help me progress each week. He is very clear and lessons have been focused. He teaches out of a space that has two drum kits which is really helpful since we can both play at the same time. I'm learning a lot!
I'll go the extra mile and stretch beyond necessity to make sure my students understand all lesson material and to help them reach their full potential
Megan is teh awesome! She is detail oriented, has high musical standards and the experience to back it up. Her teaching has helped me to grow musically while still having fun and enjoying the lessons. She is flexible on timing, easy to schedule and great to work with! Her large studio is filled with instruments (even a five-octave marimba plus two drum sets) but spacious enough to spread out. Highly recommended.
My work stands out from others because I focus less on formal training and discipline by centering lessons around what students really want to play. If your goal is to learn how to accompany a big band, I can teach you how to "set up" licks and accents. If your goal is to learn how to "jam" with a rock band, I will teach you. If you simply want to learn how to play your favorite songs, we will break those down and learn section by section.
