Arisel did an awesome job. He responded quickly to my initial inquiry, gave me a quick quote, came out to look at the job in order to confirm, and then arrived exactly on time and did the job. Pretty much exactly what any client would want!
I had a small damaged dresser that I needed taken from my house. Matt answered the call and was curteous, prompt and very professiional. He informed me that cabinet builfding and construction arenhis profession and I would definitly seek him out again for additional work.
Right in time for New Years! I have a whole new kitchen, dining and living room, 2 remodeled bathrooms and a whole new backyard with a new deck, huge hot tub, and pergola. Eli and his team worked day after day and extremely hard to complete this project in the time I wanted. They did everything professionally and made my dreams come true. They took care of everything. I did not need to do anything at all, which is perfect because I wanted a company that would take care of everything. From the day I signed the contract, I knew what was going to happen weekly and always felt comfortable asking Eli or calling up the office to have any questions answered. I was never turned down or made to feel like I was being problematic (which I am sure I was!) but everyone there continued to impress me day by day with how thoughtful, kind, and clean they were. I really believe in life you get what you pay for, and with Eli and GMBC Construction, I paid and got much more then I actually paid for. The experience, and now the finished product is just fantastic. Thank you, thank you to everyone at GMBC Construction!
It was a pleasure to work with Chris. Through the entire project he was very professional and respectful. I received several bids, and the job that Chris proposed was far beyond the work that the other contractors were prepared to do, and at a very fair price. He was very neat and efficient, and everything was finished ahead of schedule. Chris is an artist who takes great pride in doing the best job and making sure that you are very happy with his work. I love the deck and trellis that Chris beautifully restored. I would highly recommend C.M. Stein Construction. Chris has earned his five star ratings..
Conn rebuilt a Pergola (which is basically a massive trellis) underneath several hundred pounds of intertwined vines. The result is beautiful (see pictures below). Never in my homeowner life have I seen a complex construction project succeed all three dimensions: on time, on budget and high quality. Conn took our original idea and found ways to make it look even better. He came up with an accurate budget estimate within days. And then built it on time and without needing any oversight from me at all. He kept us apprised of progress on a daily basis. Everyone involved (my wife, painters, etc) was amazed that he kept our vines in tack and constructed such a beautiful Pergola so quickly. Conn was creative, efficient, honest and a joy to work with. I would recommend him over and over again.
Richard is prompt, fast, efficient and easy to work with. I've worked with him to remove a carpet and I plan on working with him on another project.
Regina and team were fantastic consultants on helping me figure out what I wanted/needed to do with a tile project in my bathroom. We ultimately decided to postpone the project, but their on-site consult and email communications were exceptional. I'll definitely hire them for the actual construction once we're ready.
We had Ryan over yesterday to repair 3 interior doors in a very old and actually historic San Franciscan Victorian house. In addition to the three interior doors, Ryan painted the front door which had also just been replaced. His attention to detail was great, there were constant adjustments to make sure everything fit, latched, matched, didn't drag, looked great, etc. His response was prompt, he replied almost immediately and was available to start the very next day. He came prepared for the job, from start to finish. Ryan is very up front and fair in terms of compensation. You will have zero issue with the transparency and fairness of his bids. It should also be noted that this is a very old building. The areas where the door hinges connected to the wall/door frame were extremely dilapidated, the wood was old and and over drilled. It was like putty. But Ryan rocked it. Not only did Ryan pay close attention to the style of the Victorian building and matched the details perfectly, his finished product was seamless. You can't even tell that work had been done. There wasn't even dust on the floor. It was legit, honest good work. 100% recommend.
Oswaldo is a true professional. He takes pride in his work and does a good job.
We hired Lifetime Remodeling in the summer of 2017 to do a first floor addition to our home in Millbrae. The project involved adding 400 square feet to our house, which included expanding the living room and adding a new bedroom and a new bathroom. It was wonderful working with Sam and his team at every step of the way. Their bid was very competitive compared to the many others I got, and the estimated time for completion (about four months) was much shorter than most of the other quotes. Lifetime's responsive customer service and attention to detail made our lives so much easier. Here are just a few examples of things they did to minimize our stress. When strong winds blew the construction fence over during off hours, they came out here quickly to get it back up and weigh it down with sandbags. When it came time to block off the parts of the house being demolished, they helped us move furniture and cover it carefully so that it would not get damaged or dirty during construction. When they needed to move the wiring for our internet access, they made sure to reconnect it promptly. The temporary wall they built was very sturdy and effective at blocking out dust, so we had no problem continuing to live in the house throughout the construction. Sam also closely inspected all the work and often caught adjustments to be made that I did not notice. For example, even though the interior painting looked fine to me, Sam decided that he wanted another coat. When we did point out other things that needed adjusting, such as leveling out certain fixtures, the team promptly fixed them. When I asked for a different design for our recessed lighting at the last minute, even after some of them had already been installed, Sam accommodated the request. Sam checked in with me often, so I always felt well informed about the next steps coming up and what I needed to plan for. This was awesome because I learned that it can be agonizing to pick out tiles, hardwood, hardware, etc. for a project like this, especially for someone like me doing it for the first time. It was also helpful to have Sam's recommendations for suppliers for the finishes and fixtures. We were really impressed that Lifetime finished the project pretty much right on schedule and with absolutely no cost overruns. To make this happen, most days, Lifetime had a team of two to four workers here by 8 a.m., and they worked steadily for the entire day. They also often worked on weekends. After Lifetime finished the addition to the house, we ended up also hiring them to do landscaping for our front yard and replacing our concrete driveway with paver stones. They also did a great job on this, and we are so happy with and amazed by how our house looks now. Remodeling inevitably involves many hard decisions and a lot of time, energy, and money invested by the homeowner! The last thing you need is a contractor who adds unnecessary stress, yet it seemed like everyone I talked to had horror stories about their contractors. We are so grateful that Sam and Lifetime made it a wonderful experience for us.
Peter did a very nice job installing shelves in my linen closet and laundry room. I appreciated that he took the time to come out to my house beforehand to give me an accurate quote for the project, and then he purchased all of the materials for me so I didn’t have to go out and buy them myself. He was also very polite and courteous throughout the entire process.
WNH help me with a job for water damage to my bedroom. The water heater leak which ruined my carpet and drywall. I had them come and replace the sheet rock, add recessed lighting, refinish the room. It was quick and painless. Thanks!
We were amidst remodeling our master bedroom, bathroom, and vanity - a very big job indeed - that our previous contractor could not handle and left everything in shambles. This is when the I.C.R Construction team of "angels" came to our rescue. They not only completed the job on time, but did a super fantastic work, and always with a smile. It was a pleasure to work with Tom Rodarte and his fabulous team. I highly recommend I.C.R Construction.
We had a great experience working with Meir and his team. They are professional, in every aspect of the project. They updated us on the work schedule, and gave us personal attention and listened to our needs and provided solutions to problems we encountered in the old structure. Meir has a lot of experience in building and construction and can be a great partner to work with. We highly recommend him.
I hired CFI Construction to frame a new 501 sq ft building on our property to be used as a sewing studio. Today, they started and finished framing the walls, and enclosing the entire building with shear panels. Next week, when the trusses arrive, they are going to install them and install roof shearing. I learned of CFI two days ago on Thumbtack. Having observed their work today, I feel like the A team just fell out of the sky into my project. They are phenomenal in every respect. Their work, honesty, and work ethic are models for the construction industry. They have years of experience framing large projects, both residential and commercial. I was humbled that they chose to work on my project. They are not solely a framing company. They can build a building from start to finish, I just happened to hire them for framing. Having enjoyed today's experience, I'm going to use them for more phases of our project. Both the owner of the company (Steve) and one of his sons (Drew) were on site the entire day, as well as their crew of 5 framers. I wanted to write this review now, even though they still have trusses to install and the front porch to frame, because I want other users of Thumbtack to have the same benefit of a 1st class, licensed, professional construction company, as I did today. I strongly recommend that you seek out CFI Construction for your projects. They are the real deal. Thank you Steve and Drew.
Jacome Construction were prompt, courteous and took care of my job quickly. They explained what they were doing and even offered to look at another issue I was having. Excellent and highly recommend them for their knowledge and ability to get the job done.
Bella Home Builders created an awesome kitchen / family room. Excellent subcontractors & quality. The project has been admired by all of our friends & relatives. This also created a great setting for a small wedding at home.
Cesar is the best construction/handyman person I've ever worked with, by far. His workmanship is terrific and he's a dream to work with. Highly recommended.
Jomar was quick to respond and was very professional. He was honest in his assessment and did a great job.
Had my kitchen remodeled last summer and we contracted with Equilibrium Construction. They did a great job. Aldo is professional and punctual. The project was completed on time. Very satisfied with the quality of work. All costs were clearly outline before the work started and there were no surprises.
First: Dennis was present everyday work was done; if he wasn't present all day, he got the workers started and checked in several times, as well as at the end of the day. Second: Dennis and his workers were careful to clean up any mess every day. Third: Dennis presented blueprints of what he planned to do, and discussed them with us. Fourth: when we were unable to find fixtures, Dennis went out of his way to assist us. Be sure you know how much storage you want, and clearly communicate that. My husband and I didn't communicate with one another very well, and I was surprised at the end. I freaked out, but was able to have Dennis replace one cabinet with a larger one. The cabinet Dennis removed is great for storage in our garage. Final assessment: my kitchen is far more than I'd ever dreamed of having: the cabinets are easy to keep clean, the quartz counters/backsplash are marvelous to work on/clean. As with any construction project, things don't always proceed perfectly. We traveled out-of-state for funerals; and there were holidays during which we were happy to have work suspended. In other words: Life happens. I regard Dennis as a reliable, ethical, and skilled contractor. We have just asked to discuss remodeling our master bath with him.
