My 15-year-old son has been taking MMA lessons from him. My son loves it. Margo is very patient and always positive. My son seems to be learning a lot. Margo also set him up with a diet and workout plan that my son has been following.
I have been taking martial arts lessons at Full Potential Martial Arts for several months now. I love the practical self defense that is being taught. It is something that I can use right away! The instructor, Brian, is extremely knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to help everyone learn. Class normally starts with conditioning exercises, and it is a great workout. I highly recommend!
Mr Hall came into my studio to give a self defense demonstration to my students. The lesson was educational and very detailed. He did an excellent job explaining the concept of each applications. I walked away learning quite a bit in only 1 session.
I have trained in the art of Kung Fu San Soo off and on since approximately 1982. During this time period I have studied under different instructors and in various schools, and along the way I have also picked up a little Judo and Jujitsu. Until now, under the instruction of Master Dale Garrison, have I learned the science and mechanics behind the art of San Soo. It has brought my understanding of the arts I have studied to a whole new level. For all the hands on instruction he has given me and my fellow students I am eternally grateful. I highly recommend this class for students of all arts. It will elevate your skill set to a much higher level. Rick L. Baca You can take my life but not my confidence.
Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense is a representation of unbridled professionalism in every sense of the word. While other schools of martial arts may focus on basics, sparring, or endurance testing, Master Bob's versatile knowledge of varying styles combines to create a more extensive and practical understanding of modern self-defense, as well as a better method of learning and practicing the martial arts. With an extensive knowledge of kinesiology, Master Bombalier has the unparalleled ability to fine tune your self defense training to a personal level. Robert Bombalier's teaching style instills lessons of respect, discipline, and beneficial personal development through all aspects of life. For me, starting off with martial arts as a young child, and continuing to study the ways of self defense into young adulthood, I can certainly say that Master Bombalier's influence and guidance in my training remains impeccably beneficial. For example, an extensive amount of my training went into dealing with anxiety, controlling fear, and handling my day to day struggles with asthma, of which all I have been given the chance to manage thanks to his service. In my time with Master Bob, I have watched as people from all walks of life come together to learn how to strengthen themselves in the realms of self defense, prepare themselves in case of emergency, and most importantly better themselves in the process under the guidance and instruction of this professional martial artist. Martial arts requires key, inherent characteristics of those in participation including effort, etiquette, character, sincerity, and self-control, and no-one I have ever studied under embodies these beneficial qualities more than Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense.
I had the pleasure of not only training with Brittany, but also teaching TaeKwonDo classes with her to students of all ages and skill levels at the Elkhart Martial Arts Studio in Elkhart, Indiana. I know for a fact that many of the students thoroughly enjoyed her being a part of class. She was always able to bring fun to the class along with some amazing skill and knowledge. It was amazing to watch the looks on the faces on the students as Brittany would demonstrate a kick or other technique. She inspired in a way that I cannot describe in words! It got to the point where students would ask me ahead of time if Ms. Mosier would be helping teach a certain class, and when I said yes, I could tell they were very happy with that response and was eager to see what the would be learning! I would highly recommend Brittany in any training or teaching environment. Students placed under her supervision will be trained properly, and will enjoy the classes without question!
I have had the honor and pleasure of training with Sifu Nick Wright for the better part of the last 10 years. He and I both have trained extensively in Choy Lay Fut Kung-Fu and given that background, I know him and the subject matter very well. It is with that in mind that I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him as an instructor; so much so that I have brought him my own daughters to train with him. He has a both depth of understanding and the ever so rare and precious ability to verbally communicate that understanding in a way that is straightforward and easy to understand. Sifu Nick maintains a balanced blend of attention to detail while not getting bogged down in technicalities that would otherwise hinder growth, which I think is especially important when working with kids or adults.
I started boxing lessons with Chuck about 8 months ago. With no prior boxing or martial arts experience, I had no idea what to expect when walking into a boxing gym. I started my search online, looking at reviews and prices. Luckily, I decided to try out Classic Boxing Coach and struck gold. Although not fancy or over-the-top, the gym has all the equipment one would need (at least from what I can tell). It's never too crowded but also never lacks energy. All of the other trainers and members that I have met have been warm and welcoming, always willing to chat or share a funny story. When walking into a boxing gym for the first time ever, I expected an intimidating, intense, and cold competitive environment; yet this gym offers a hard-training atmosphere with only positive vibes and good spirits. Chuck is an amazing trainer. I think the best thing about his training is his positive and energetic attitude. He is one of those people who is always present in the moment. He puts his focus and attention onto whomever he is training. He brings in the perfect blend of mental and physical toughness. Chuck explains the sport both philosophically and technically, while still putting the athlete through hard physical workouts. The training experience at Classic Boxing Coach comes with a great balance between training and fighting. There is enough sparring to create excitement and anxiety (if one chooses to spar), but not so much that each week is an all-out fierce battle with other members. Overall, I've had an incredible experience so far at this gym. I've learned the technical aspects of boxing, had great and grueling workouts, and had some good battles in the ring. Chuck is a great coach and an even better person. He always puts the clients first. I highly recommend this gym for anyone thinking about starting boxing or switching gyms.
I love this dojo! its clean, fully equipped and matted. Not like some others schools in the area that just train on carpet and use hard flooring. Blisters on the feet from carpet burns are not fun. Duarte Shotokan teaches Real Karate from a traditional lineage and it is a safe place to train, especially for kids. All the instructors and assistants are very kind and caring too. I have been in class for a few weeks already and I love the intense workouts and practical self defense lessons that are taught. I would recommend Duarte Martial arts Academy to anyone looking for a fun, safe and caring dojo.
Coach Andre is the best boxing coach I've had. He works well with everybody making sure that they understand the basics of boxing such as footwork, head movement, proper punching, and conditioning. Whether you're just wanting to try something new or already have a lot of boxing experience and want to fight this is a great gym to be a part of!
BJJ Unlimited is an incredible place for Jiu Jitsu training. The level of competition keeps me excited, the environment is very friendly and humble, and the level of instruction is wonderful. Andrew of BJJ Unlimited has truly put a great team together. It's a growing team of mainly purple, blue, and white belts, so you can join and not feel like you're always going to get clobbered by these experts. The space in the gym is probably the best part about it -- there is enough room for everyone to practice without fear of getting slammed by other people practicing too close together. It is a very safe environment to learn and ask questions, and it's a great workout. You've gotta try this place... I've been to a lot of BJJ studios and I've never been happier at BJJ unlimited.
I was incredibly impressed when I started training under coach Pammy and I highly recommend her as a coach, she is an outstanding and very technical coach with great knowledge of the sport, as well as many years of professional experience. Classes are always very technical and I always get an amazing workout and learn new things every class. She is constantly there to help you and push you to do better and brings great positive energy to the class, If you do something wrong she will correct you, make sure you are focused, and show you the correct way just as any great coach would. Whether you are looking to compete or just get a good workout in Coach Pammy will push to make you better everyday and is more than willing to help you Exceed your goals.
I have been training for 16 years. I have competed in a wide variety of tournaments from closed to internationally rated.
I provide private and group lessons on various forms of self-defense that include boxing, jiujitsu, wrestling, muay Thai, and women-specific self-defense.
To put it bluntly, I train people to defend themselves, but to make that happen, I need the utmost dedication. It will not be easy. It is hard work; it will be painful. However, you will see results after some time. The satisfaction after you see yourself improve is all you need to continue and keep coming back.
I have been self defense teacher for United Studios and a professional martial artist for many years, both as a kids and adults teacher. I specialise in communications so I can teach in ways nobody else can. But I teach more than martial arts. I also teach how to properly use electronics that people don't usually know how to utilize to the best that the manufacturer meant it to be capable of. That includes teaching photography, computer and tablet lessons, and more.
