FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our price scale is very competitive. Our base price for photography "in-studio" is $185 and "on-location" $150 plus a minimal travel fee based on location. We easily accommodate/provide professional hair and make-up services (at an additional expense) and that fee is largely dependent on the scope of that service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All our services first start with a conversation. We love to communicate with our clients and create a dialogue that gets us on the "same page" about everything...the investment, our creative process, and our clients' expected result, beautiful images. Our first conversation is usually devoted to understanding and defining the "look" our client is trying to achieve: classic, glamour, vintage, retro are all styles of which we are familiar. The location will also be discussed and decided whether we will conduct the session in our studio or some other location. Finally, a set price will be determined for all services provided including hair and make-up if needed. The day of you session is exciting and we will arrive on time or welcome you into our studio graciously. Our clients have a blast during their sessions and often can't wait to see their final images. About 1-week after the scheduled session our clients receive an email to view their edited images on-line and the next week our clients are sent a flash drive containing all edited, full resolution images from their photography session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated college from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Visual Arts. My career began more than twenty-five years ago photographing models in fashion and catalog work where I branched off into wedding and event photography under the watchful eye of a professional mentor. I have photo credits in both OC Bridal Magazine and Southern California Bride Magazine. Capturing boudoir photography became my professional focus in 2010 and since then I've been creating sessions and capturing beautiful images with no end in site. I enjoy shooting boudoir specifically because everyone has a natural beauty to discover and I'm really good at creating a comfortable environment so that beauty can shine through. Pushing the shutter button is as natural as brushing my hair and knowing when to capture that perfect image ...my life's work.
