Markshane's shape up studio is AWESOME!!! He and his personal trainers take great care and support for each client. I went to Markshane's studio out of shape, overweight, and "afraid" to start working out after so many years of little physical activity. Markshane immediately made me feel comfortable. He is professional, encouraging, truthful, and educated me on nutrition and how the body works with the physical training he has you work thru. Markshane took great care into listening to what i wanted as my goals and is helping me achieve them. All of Markshane's trainers are phenomenal! It feels like a big family there And every trainer comes with so much experience. I have seen results quicker than i ever expected! I am stronger, more toned, and eat so much healthier now. Markshane knows all of his clients on a first name basis and really gets to know you. He keeps in constant communication with me. This was important to me as i know he truly cares about each and every client and their well being versus running just a business. I would recommend Markshanes Shape Up Studio to anyone. You will have to work hard, but the trainers work with you to ensure your safety and to push you so you WILL reach your goals. Everyone is encouraging there. I've been working out with Megan at Every Body’s Fit twice a week since November 2012 and highly recommend her. The workouts are fantastic and Megan really challenges you by making them progressively more difficult each session. Since starting with her, I am seeing significantly more definition in my legs, arms, chest, back, and torso, basically everywhere. Her rates are reasonable, about the same you'd pay somewhere like 24 hour fitness, and you get to work out in a nicer gym. Most importantly Megan is a great personal trainer and she gets RESULTS!!!!
I never worked with a personal trainer before. So when I met Rich I didn’t know what to fully expect. He was very genuine and relaxed. He made me feel at ease and talked to lie a friend, I didn’t feel like he was selling me. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our sessions are great. He is creative and just knows his stuff. His confidence and trust in his training and in me pushes me. Thank you Rich!!
Lana has been a great personal trainer for my needs. I think she was a perfect match for me in the sense that she isn't as aggressive as other trainers yet pushes me further than I think I can go. Therefore I feel comfortable with the training sessions and do not dread going to see her. I have seen amazing results sooner than I had anticipated.
West is an exercise genius. I've worked with my fair share of personal trainers and they all went to hard too fast with me. Wes views working out as a gradual process. He asked what I wanted to work on and tailored my workout according to my wants without sacrificing a great workout. With Wes, it's not just about getting in shape but feeling accomplished and good about yourself.
I recently did a private instruction session with A. Doyle. It was my second time ever doing yoga and I was intimidated by the atmosphere of a gym class. Allison's instruction was the perfect alternative. I didn't feel self-concious at all. I learned classic yoga poses and breathing techniques. She tailored the lesson to my beginner level and was very attune to my particular strengths and limitations. She had alernative poses ready for me in the case that something was too challenging, so I never felt like I "couldn't" do the lesson. She was attentive to correcting my form (making "adjustments") so that I had a good foundation to start on. I feel that in a group class I wouldn't have gotten nearly the personal attention. She takes her time and even repeated the lesson once we were finished (without my asking) so I could try it at a different pace and with my new knowledge. I appreciated that she didn't watch the clock or appear rushed in the least. She seems to truly love what she does and is perfectly suited for private instruction. Her rate is more than fair for the quality of instruction you receive.
I've been doing personal training since 2010 through many different trainers, my all time favorite was with Brittany. I went through a phase where I wasn't conditioned to training, had gained weight and wasn't use to lifting weights. The first time we trained together, I thought it was really weird but she made it of importance about my breathing and posture and didn't just get right back into lifting like I use to. A couple sessions later, I really actually felt a difference because she made it important to recondition myself and make sure that I breathe properly while I train! She not only made me feel physically fit, she was a great person to talk to, and made me feel great while I worked out and constantly pushed me to be a better person. I wouldn't ever want another trainer, and when I'm done with my break from training, Brittany and I are going to be back out there hitting those new PR's!
Tom is the best personal trainer I've ever had! If you want to get in shape immediately and feel good about yourself, Tom's the guy to get you to where you want to be! On time, courteous, and hard working! I'd recommend Tom to everybody!
Lisa is experienced and knowledgeable. She brings a lot more to the table then most trainers. She is also a health coach and helps with healthy eating.
Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. The fitness plan was great! Although we had only worked for a couple of weeks, I did see some changes especially in the way I eat. To top all of that she was very sociable and understanding. She actually tries to get to know you which is great. I felt comfortable opening about myself with her. My few weeks with her were great! I totally recommend working with her!
Colby was my personal trainer for about a year and he is amazing at what he does. I've had other personal trainers in the past and he is by far the best. I saw immediate results and continued to see even more results throughout the year. He was always pushing me to the next level even if I felt like I wanted to give up. In addition to providing personal training, he discusses proper nutrition to meet your goals. He was always available to answer any questions I had. I would see Colby's other clients in passing and also noticed dramatic results with them throughout the year. If I hadn't relocated to NYC I would still be working out with him. i highly recommend Colby if you are serious about results and want a trainer who genuinely cares about you and your fitness goals.
Working with Candon is great! I have had several personal trainers over the years and he is by far the best. His workouts always challenged me and never became dull and routine. I am 65 years old but I never felt like he trained like I was getting old. His training has enabled me to keep up with my active lifestyle including hiking and backpacking. Zack has been my personal trainer for only two weeks and I have already seen a noticeable difference in my appearance as well as in the way I carry myself. I feel stronger and more confident than ever. Zack isn’t the type of personal trainer to put you on trendy workouts and just collect money. He customizes my workouts to fit my specific body, personality, and goals. I’m looking forward to seeing my progress over the next few months
Tony has been absolutely fantastic to work with. He was the only trainer that actually read what I posted and didn't send out a canned response. I am disabled and Tony has adapted my routine to fit within what my body is capable of and the results have been impressive. I had never lifted weights before and could barely dead lift 185lbs 6 weeks ago. I can now pull 365lbs and I'm certain the weight will just keep going up. I am having similar results with the other major lifts that we are doing. Tony is a knowledgeable trainer that easy going and makes his students feel comfortable. He is genuinely excited to see you get a personal record! When you are in the gym, his entire focus is on you. We spent a lot of time learning correct form and adding weight later. Tony has worked with me on the little details like changing how I set up under the bar when I am going to squat. I used to take too many steps to get into position with the weight on my shoulders and had issues clearing the pegs on the rack. We worked on setting up with my feet close together and changing which foot I started back with. This allowed me to comfortably clear the pegs and get into a proper position with 3 steps instead of 5. That makes a huge difference when you have a heavy weight on your shoulders. I recommend Tony without hesitation.
Roger provides everything you need as personal trainer. He provides the motivation and the attention you need to not give up and keep going! He makes working out fun and you can't wait to go back!!! What I like about Roger is that you never get bored of his workouts because every day it's a different workout. He has pushed me to my limits and I'm loving it! I will totally recommend Roger!!! He rocks! :)
As a former professional athlete I am always looking for somebody to push me and challenge me physically. Training with Sam gives me just that, she pushes me to my limits and motivates me to work harder every time. If you're looking for a personal trainer, she's awesome!!
John Burson has been my fitness trainer for over 12 years. He is highly competent and very professional, but what I like best is how attentive he is in customizing the workout specifically for me. Over many years, he has always fine tuned each exercise to best match my sometimes changing needs and wishes regarding my fitness. Thanks also to his very friendly attitude, every workout with him is always fun and enjoyable, never boring. Last but not least he is also very reasonable with his rates and flexible to accommodate my schedule. I would recommend John as a rare example of an ideal fitness trainer.
I did a 2 week trial with Adam, and in just those 2 weeks I could feel a difference in my body. The Workouts he had me doing were great! From rope slams, Trx cables and Bear crawls, Adam had me doing everything I needed to be loosing fat and gain muscle. He also recommends a dietary plan. This was great, he provided a shopping list and snacks that I should eat during the workouts to get the best results. Adam is a great trainer and he knows his stuff! i would highly recommend anyone who is trying to live a healthier lifestyle to get in touch with Adam.
Tyler Stubbs, without exaggeration, has the most knowledge of how the body works than anyone I've ever met. Of all of the things I could say I loved about training with him, this is definitely what set him above so many other trainers (many of whom have years on him). In the past I had left so many gym sessions feeling unaccomplished because I had an unhealthy mindset when it came to excerise, and I had no idea what I was doing. I found myself without confidence or desire to go to the gym most of the time. Once I began training with Tyler, however, his knowledge and passion for what he does made for a successful workout every time; both physically and mentally. He had a complete handle on every exercise he instructed me to do; it was clear even to me that he organized each session meticulously and knew exactly what muscles were being targeted at all times. It was very clear that this trainer spent a lot of time planning outside of his paid hours (something that can't be said of many professionals). On top of this, his expertise allowed him to replace or adjust any exercise based on injuries I have. For example, I have a weak hip that is very hard to predict during my workouts. Not only did Tyler identify the cause of my hip pain before my physical therapist could figure it out, but he also was able to adjust any exercise that was bothering my hip- a quick minded feat that I was very impressed by. Tyler was endlessly encouraging during sessions- pushing me to reach my potential but also recognizing and acknowledging my limits. In three words, Tyler Stubbs is dedicated, professional, and knowledgeable beyond his years and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality personal trainer.
I worked with leon through email only, but that didnt stop me from losing weight. Leon kept me motivated by checking in with me on a regular basis. His overall focus and dedication to his job is unmatched. I reccomend him to anyone who needs a positive, high energy trainer!.
I am so happy to have found a personal trainer who is extremely knowledgeable about the field and very patient with someone who is just getting into fitness. I have been training with Stacey for almost 2 months now and love that our workouts are challenging yet fun. Aside from the workouts, she has created a diet plan specific to me and my needs.
