FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every new roof or repair really needs to be estimated. Due to the roof size, age, type of roof, slope (steepness), etc. So, if you want it done professionally, you must require a free roof, or roof repair estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is important I can gather the following information: 1. Name and address for your free roof, or roof repair estimate. 2. Schedule a time to estimate your project. If you cannot be present at the time of inspection: I would need to know: a. What type of roof you desire to have installed. Example: Owens Corning, GAF, Clay tile, Cement tile, etc. b. Would you like me to leave you with a written estimate/contract? If so, where would I leave it? or just send you a price through Thumbtack? c. Or, would you like a roof repair? On what part of the roof is it leaking? Can I have access to look in the attic? d. Do you require a guarantee on the repair? if so, for how long? e. Or, are you a realtor who needs a Roof Certification? How soon do you need it? Typically I can get out to perform your free estimate with-in 3-4 working days.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a roofing contractor for over 32 years. Prior to that I had to qualify for my roofing and general building contractors license by gaining journeyman experience (3-4 years) in at least three different forms of roofing. I chose composition roofing, tile roofing, and built-up (hot tar) roofing. I have since gained knowledge of most all other types of roofing. I also have been licensed to be a certified home inspector (CREIA). This provides me with the experience to see and anticipate all the requirements needed pass a home inspection, or for your roof to stay leak free for as long as possible. This enables me to be a better estimator, roofer, and roof repairman. I also have been licensed Certified Residential Thermographer (CRT). This enable's me to operate a thermal camera and inspect for hard to find roof or water leaks. This is an extra charge, which includes a written report.
