Introduction: Dog trainer located in Newcastle California specializing in canine board and train services. Often times life can feel unbearable with an out of control dog. We've all been there in one way or another, grabbing the leash already dreading whether or not there are dogs walking across the street, around the corner. Or it could be company coming over and visualizing your dog jumping all over your guests barking. Our goal is to help dogs to be comfortable in all types of situations by stepping outside of the traditional obedience model to tailoring energy while treating dogs as individuals.

We brought Sara both of our high energy, reactive, Australian cattle dogs to participate in her 3 week board and train program. Sara was extremely helpful answering any and every question we had. We were definitely nervous giving the dogs to someone for 3 weeks but we wouldn’t change our decision for anything!! Our dogs came back with manners, structure and a sound mind. We had no prior experience using any of the tools they came back with and Sara made sure we were confident in them before they even came home. But even having the dogs home I don’t feel alone in the rest of our journey with them. She made it clear that she is just a phone call away with any problem or question we have and it’s so nice knowing we have continuous support. I can’t speak highly enough of Sara and the success of her program! Thanks to her we have the best relationship we’ve ever had with our dogs - I wont use anyone else.

Sara at Kaufman K9 greatly exceeded my expectations. Her property is beautiful and large enough for the dogs. The knowledge and experience she has from vet med makes me feel like my dog is very safe. Otis was reactive to almost anything and now we can take him anywhere, truly he’s a different dog. Our lives have changed for the better and I cannot recommend this trainer enough.

My dog couldn’t be walked on leash in public, it was so embarrassing she’d drag us across the street to kill other dogs on walks. After a 3 week board and train with Sara our life has made a 180 with Callie.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For the last 7 years I have worked in emergency veterinarian and boy did I see a lot of owners struggling with a lot of dogs. I wanted to provide a service to my community by helping these people. I could see the life they COULD live with their companion and so I made the plunge into the world of dog training and haven’t looked back!
