On 12-17-15, the Employees' Union of the State Bar of California hired Chef Marcel for our Holiday Luncheon. Chef Marcel and his staff came on time, set up quickly, and were very professional. The food was delicious and they were able to serve over 100 employees in less than an hour, and clean up and pack up quickly. Our luncheon was a huge success! I have received nothing but positive comments from my Union members. I highly recommend Chef Marcel and we will definitely use his services again! Carolina and Boris arrived early dress in their professional chef coats The Buffet set in a lavished 5 star style Everything from the mouthwatering appetizer to the main lunch had great presentation, set in high-quality culinary service Each bite tasted amazing. We had a varieties of perfectly executed dessert making it the Gourmet Lovers treats During these events, our guests complement Gourmet Lovers, their culinary creations were outstanding We highly recommend Carolina & Boris Your menu is traditional and modern with unique a twist. I got so many compliments on the food at my wedding. Even the veggie appetizer was a hit! Jose was awesome from the start and everyone loved him! For the tasting he drove to our house and essentially provided me and my fiancé with a delicious dinner. So convenient when you are busy with wedding planning. With very minimal instruction from me he pulled off a flawless dinner at our reception. He also provided the bar tenders, who were a hit as well! Jose made sure my husband and I got food and always had a full glass of whatever we wanted. Amazing, reliable service and excellent food! I would and will recommend him to everyone I know.
Excellent experience for a wine tasting party. They were very professional and a full menu selection of interesting and delicious foods. The food was wonderful and unique and all my guests loved everything. Passed appetizers very tasty and full buffet menu with plenty of food and choices for all. The servers were professional and made my evening very special for the guests. Will recommend highly and use them again.
We live in Laguna Niguel, and Madkins Catering was on time and I remember saying to the waitstaff, "omg, there's still more food?! Needless to say there was so much food. Madkins Catering was upfront with me in the very beginning explaining how much of each appetizer or food item I'd actually be getting which is great. I think we adjusted the amounts a few times because I thought it was going to be too much food lol, and it ended up being still too much food.... But who's complaining? :-) My guests were very pleased with the meal and left on a very very full stomach. This company is very nice and professional and delivered exactly what I wanted. I forgot to do a review at the time of the event, but the event was about 2 weeks ago. Everyone please try them, the food is delicious and at a great price!
I just gave a dinner party Saturday September 23, 2017 and Chef Shawna did an outstanding job. The food was so delicious. We had the cheesy bacon turkey sliders and the meatballs for appetizers (so yummy). Our salad was a beautiful presentation and the chicken marsala! .....I've never had any that tasty. The cake with berries was outstanding. Thank you Chef and Ms. Paulette for making me look good and you took all the stress out of throwing a party. I hope we will work together again (the holidays are coming).
The Catering Carnival was quick to know exactly what dishes and appetizers would work best with my event and were very organized in delivering directly to my event venue! The food was delicious and needless to say we had no food leftover! I will definitely work with them again!
The food for my daughter's bridal shower was delicious! Susan offers a lot of choices, and we chose 3 salads and tea sandwiches. Her grilled shrimp and caprese appetizers were fantastic! Everyone raved about the food, and several friends wanted her business card!
Had a great experience with Executive Chef Mark Kearney and Team. To set expectations before the review, I like to consider myself a food lover...not a critic, just a food lover. I love great dining experiences and am equally critical or disappointed when they fall short. My family and I were hosting Christmas Dinner for a total of 10 family members. I found Chef Mark on Thumbtack based on his previous reviews. Roy (part of Mark's team) promptly reached out with thought-starters for the meal and breakout of pricing. Over the next few weeks Roy, Mark and I worked closely crafting the perfect menu for my traditional Christmas dinner, while staying within my budget parameters. To note, Chef Mark is priced higher than some of the other chefs I was in contact with, but I'm glad we went with Mark based on the outcome. The menu consisted of 4 gourmet hors d oeuvres passed around while we opened presents. A fan favorite was the roasted fig with gorgonzola and prosciutto. Then time for dinner. We sat at the dining table and were served Butternut Ravioli as an appetizer, Lobster Bisque soup (a bit on the spicy side - only critique I have with the food all night) and an organic baby butterleaf salad with incredible apricot balsamic vinaigrette. The main course was both a grilled beef tenderloin (prepared to your liking) and pan roasted turkey breast. Sides that accompanied the main course were brocollini, green beans and bacon/garlic mashed potatoes. Everything (except the soup) was beyond 5 stars in terms of presentation, taste and expectations. Lastly we were served two very decadent and delicious deserts - a molten lava cake and traditional bread pudding. Two things to mention. My wife was forced (by her OBGYN) into a new diet two days prior to the Christmas dinner consisting of no dairy and no soy. When Chef Mark arrived we asked him what had dairy and soy ingredients and he quickly and thoughtfully mentioned that he could make my wife's servings without either dairy or soy. Talk about going above and beyond. This was much appreciated and set the tone for the entire dinner! I would potentially ask for two servers for the evening on future events. One to solely serve as sous chef, helping Mark prepare the food in the kitchen and the other server to help set the table, serve food, wine, etc.. throughout the evening. The 5 hours that Mark and Team allocate for the evening can go quickly. This might alleviate that. Either way, a great experience and thank you Mark and Team!
I decided to look for a caterer for my Mom's celebration of life and my internet search lead me to Thumbtack. After inputting my needs I quickly received a response back from Tonya at Sierra Madre Catering with a detailed quote and attached menu. When I called to speak with Tonya I immediately got a good vibe from her voice. She seemed excited and eager to help plan our event and made me feel comfortable that everything would be taken care of. I am so thankful I decided to use Sierra Madre for my event. We ordered appetizers and desserts and they arrived and set everything up, brought their own trash cans and kept the tables clean as people were done eating. The staff was professional and nice and their food was DELICIOUS! Many of our guests gave feedback that the food was great and they even ran out of business cards because a lot of people were interested in having their info. At such a difficult time with the passing of a loved one, these details are important but not ones you want to worry about yourselves and Tonya and Sierra Madre staff took that burden off my shoulders and I am so thankful for that. I will recommend them to anyone in need of a caterer for any event and if I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would!! Thank you Tonya and Sierra Madre Catering!!

We were very happy with the food and service room Aioli. Catering our family event made everything run smoothly, and gave me the opportunity to mingle and visit with our guests. The food was delicious, and delivered and set up on time. I would highly recommend Aioli.
Chef Keith and his staff were great! He arrived early, set up amazing food stations and a bar for our non-profit cocktail party. The lamb chops, POKE station, "mushroom en croute", short rib skewers, cheese platter, and dessert bar complete with deep fried brownies were all a huge hit. Chef Keith really impressed my guests and made me look like a superstar hostess. I would hire him again and many of my friends and associates took his card for future catering events. Loved the bartender, server and Keith's helpers. My kitchen was spotless also...worth it!
I have had the pleasure of being Edmond's dinner guest on two occasions. First, his warm and friendly style created a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a perfectly executed meal. The lure of the aroma of the secretly spiced crusted tilapia was rivaled only by its artistic, inventive presentation. His raspberry vinaigrette is unrivaled, I ate the remainder of the salad directly from the serving bowl! The side dish of soft pinto beans was the refined choice and the best I've ever had. The Riesling sangria was the ideal beverage since I rarely drink alcohol, he read his guest skillfully.Bravo Edmond!! Dessert was the crowning glory; a flawless cake with berries and cream, an impeccable choice for a superb ending. Edmond then came to my house and showcased his skills as a great teacher. We had pork chops with spiced apples, garlic mashed potatoes, thumbelina carrots and salad. He was the ideal teacher: patient, gentle, and very informative. I learned about using correct tools, suitable sides, and refined presentations. His experience was superb and I would highly recommend Edmond for anything food! He's dependable, goes above and beyond to please his guests. He's an all around accomplished chef, good guy and marvelous host, highly recommended!

I hired Diane to cook a multi-course meal in the comfort of our home in order to surprise my husband for Valentines Day. We agreed upon a menu, a time, a price and we were good to go. On the day of we corresponded a bit and she offered some of her personal items to help decorate for the special night which was above and beyond. I didn't need them but I did appreciate the offer. Diane is friendly, responsive and the food she made was DIVINE! Part of our meal included cream corn and French onion soup, both my husbands favorites. He loved both items. We were so full, we couldn't even eat the dessert we had planned for the evening. My husband said one more bite and he would have exploded. Diane was efficient in the kitchen, we were able to see the flambé for the steak from the dining room where we were enjoying our salad. She served the meal and cleaned up as each course went along. It was a new experience for both of us and it ended up being a very special evening.
We hired Unique Luxury Catering to prepare a family dinner for 8 for my wife's birthday on our patio at the Villa we were staying in at Pelican Hill.Chef Brad prepared a spectacular meal and the carrot cake was over the top.The red wine reduction with vanilla bean was a very special treat for everything to be plated in.The cucumber with lobster & quac & apricot / almond appetizers were perfect starters.Great evening ,Great setting ,fabulous meal !
