- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was an undergradute at Trinity University in Texas, I was searching for a major and I fell in love with psychology. I knew I enjoyed the area academically, so I wanted to see if I would enjoy psychology research and clinical practice. So I created my own position working at the US Air Force, working with US Air Force Psychologists, who further encouraged me to pursue my passion. My supervisor, Dr. Kelley Freeman, was a captain in the Air Force and also a psychologist who graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology. His mentorship made a significant impact on my decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue my passion at Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology to earn my PhD in Clinical Psychology and to become a licenced psychologist.
