I was born and raised in Tokyo Japan living in Los Angeles and graduated from the literature department of Waseda University. I realize learning another language is tough and requires patience a lot from my experience in learning English. Every student is different. GENKI is the main text book. I listen to you as carefully as possible to make the lesson meaningful. I try to listen and understand what my student is interested in and which direction she/he wants to go. I really enjoy meeting new people and love to talk about Japanese culture especially movie(Ghibli!),TV-shows (Shogun!),music(City Pop!),food(Ramen!) and turism(I'm from Tokyo!) Akira has been exceptionally professional, communicative and friendly. Our son will be taking Japanese as a high schooler next year and so he is getting a jump start with lessons this summer. Akira gave us all of the information needed on what work books to get, online tutorials, and the lessons are fun, per our son. Highly recommend.

🌟Lesson Fee (online via Zoom) $55/60min and application monthly 4 lessons up-front for $200 ($20discount) $45/45min and application monthly 4 lessons in advance for $165($15discount) 🌟Please keep in mind 24h Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation or rescheduling, please let me know no later than 24h before lessons. Otherwise the lesson fee is fully charged.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use GENKI for text book. This is the most poplar one in the US.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the literature department of Waseda University in Tokyo Japan. I worked as an international telephone operator , interpreter for a telecom company for years.
