"I am 57 years old (no Spring chicken) and came to Thomas for tenor sax lessons. My purpose is to perform and record sax solos for classic rock and blues. Thomas does a great job with understanding my goals and giving me a road map to achieve them. Very patient and intuitive."

"Eugene’s Music Studio is one of the most professional & kind music studios we had the honor to work with. My son is so excited and cannot wait for his piano lessons. The teacher was able to keep him busy and involved throughout the entire session (not an easy task) and she always comes up with new ways for him to stay involved. We are very happy that we found Eugene's Music Studio. Eugene was very attuned and helped us find the best fit for our child and we look forward to seeing the progress he will make with time."

"Raffia was my four year old grandson's (Taylor) piano teacher. From the very first day we entered her studio, she treated us with the utmost respect. I was so impressed on how well she worked with Taylor. She has a lot of patience and went out of her way to make sure we both understood his piano lesson. Taylor enjoyed going to see Ms Raffia to learn piano. He had a lot of fun. Without a doubt I would recommend Ms. Raffia to anyone who has a child considering taking Piano lessons. She is the greatest!! "

"June—April 28, 2011 First, let me preface the following by stating that I am an adult student 55 plus. I have been taking lessons at Esther’s Piano Study for nearly a year. My start point was that of a novice….a newbie. I did not know a dot from a musical note, but wanting to play the piano was and still is a lifelong desire. She has brought me from a newbie to being able to sit comfortably at the bench and play some late intermediate literature in less than a year. I truly have progressed a very long way in a short time with her guidance. Esther is filled with enthusiasm, constancy in patience, persistence and can intuitively gauge the tempo of the lessons. She teaches with determination to draw upon all the beauty and color from my fingers that is possible. "

"Alex is amazing. I'm new to playing drums (but not to playing music). From the first lesson, Alex gave me exercises that were not only fun to practise, but also musically interesting. He teaches by introducing a student to great beats, not by getting bogged down in theory and technique. That said, my technique is definitely improving ( and Alex himself is a technically impeccable drummer) coming as a byproduct of working on enjoyable exercises (its not unusual for me to end up practising for two hours). In short, Alex knows how to drive home core musical foundations while keeping it fun. Alex is also a fun, friendly and personable teacher. I'll admit that he was not the least expensive quote I received on Thumbtack, but something about his methods and personality told me to give him a shot. I'm so glad I did!"
