John tutored my son in 9th grade math during the summer and fall. He was engaging with his student and flexible with his schedule, which really helped me out. My son's math ability certainly improved a lot, both from the actual instruction and from the work habits/procedures John helped imbue in him. I recommend John highly as a professional and reliable tutor who gets along well with students and motivates them.
Aji tutored our daughter in Algebra and Geometry. He really helped her get a better grasp of the topics. His weekly assignments are really helpful and he is really patient while exposing the topics. Our daughter ended up getting an A in the class, I highly recommend Aji.
Minok is an excellent math tutor for my daughter. Beginning of the school year my daughter has had some difficulties with her trig-algebra 2 class. She would like to improve her grade and prepare for finals. Minok came in fully prepared. I really appreciate that she genuinely cares about the student and she spent a lot of time preparing her class ahead of the time. Usually she will check with my daughter with what is on going in her class, and by time of tutoring she came with extra materials and practice to help the kids. By doing tutorial with her once a week, She was able to help my daughter improve her grade from B to an A and so far in the new trimester my daughter has been getting all As in her math test. We are very happy with her and will highly recommend her to all my friends.
John-Michael is the professional tutor I needed in my life. Math was such a dull subject and he brings it to life with his enthusiasm and curiosity. I genuinely fell in love with math! My Pre-Calculus grade shot up to an A (from my dark past of a D) after working with him for 1.5 months. He's refined my work ethic and respect for this subject and I couldn't ask for anything better. I continue to see him every week and its always a pleasure!
My daughter Laura was struggling with algebra and geometry for a test. The tutor was fantastic. Much better value than other companies
MathMan was wonderful. He came to the house prepared and always on time with a plan for the day. I would recommend him to any family of some math tutoring.
Darya tutored and advised me throughout my senior year of high school and my first year at college. Having Darya by my side throughout the stress of a year and a half journey has had a significant impact in my life. Although Darya's main responsibility was to tutor me for my Advanced Placement (AP) Literature class, she went above and beyond to what I expected of an English tutor. She helped me find my inner voice as a writer through tutoring me about grammar, organization, and vocabulary. She also helped boost my confidence as an underprivileged Latina studying in the STEM field as a computer science major at the University of California: Santa Cruz. I passed both my AP Government and AP Literature classes and tests which is significant because both required a heavy amount of analytical writing; I graduated high school with honors and with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA), 3.7, at any time of my academic career. One week before I was going to take my SAT for the third time, I mentioned to Darya that I was struggling understanding a large portion of the Math section of the test. To my surprise, she was thoroughly capable skilled in tutoring me in math, along with English. In less than seven days, Darya was able to successfully prepare me for my last SAT test; subsequently, my SAT score improved by more than 100 points. If we had more time to go through the preparation book, I could have further surpassed this amazing progress. Another aspect in which Darya supported me in my college application and preparation process was in guiding me to refine my college essays for both private and public universities: as a result, I was accepted to more than half of the colleges that I applied to. Finally, I am most grateful for Darya and her efforts towards my success because of the high number of scholarships that I received in the second semester of my senior year in high school. Through Darya’s excellent editing and writing abilities, I was able to accumulate more than $200,000 in scholarship rewards from four different organizations. I could never have imagined this much triumph before meeting Darya; without these scholarship awards, I would have been forced to work during my breaks and during school to afford a college education. Now, all that I have to worry about is learning as much as I can while I am at UCSC. On account of my strong achievements in less than a year with Darya, I still utilize the many tips and lessons that she has instilled in me. As a result of this, I excelled in my classes at UCSC with a cumulative GPA of 3.6. Because of my outstanding academic success in the first quarter of college, I was exclusively invited by the university to apply to the College Scholars Program; this two-year program selects 20 students out of about 200 students applying from each college at UCSC to help give them meaningful academic challenges. Not only do I recognize Darya as one of the most significant people in my life because of my solid academic accomplishments, but also due to the genuine passion she holds to be sure that her tutees succeed. As her tutee, she constantly reminded me of my own abilities to encourage my confidence. We are still in contact today which further demonstrates her enthusiasm for her tutees. She is evidently benevolent, motivated, and intelligent, and I highly recommend her tutoring and guidance talents to any student who is fortunate enough to be her tutee.
It is very difficult to find an AP calculus tutor who knows what here she is talking about. Then I had heard of Arbor Tutors through a friend and called them. The tutor met me at the library every Saturday for 12 weeks and completely turned around my grades. I went from a C average to a high B+ and now I'm starting to get A's. Yay for Arbor Tutors!
Dan tutored my son in 10th grade in Algebra l. He was very reliable and Noah felt like he could relate to the way he learned. My daughter Abby was in 6 th grade and he was very helpful and engaged with her as well. I would highly recommend Dan if you child is struggling in math or science.
I would not hesitate to recommend Arbor Tutors to all of my friends and family. I wish we would've started with them in the beginning. Very good service with excellent tutors.
I tutor any subject in high school, including standardized tests. I have over 10 years of tutor experience, including middle school and high school. I am exceptional with math and sciences.
I've been a paid private tutor for over 35 students ranging in age from 8 years old to 45 years old. I have a 4.8/5.0 average rating across multiple tutoring websites including Wyzant, Universitytutor.com, and Tutorz. I graduated with honors from UC Davis with a double major in Psychology and Statistics and minor in Education. Math and statistics are the main subjects that I tutor. I earned a 3.97 GPA and received two outstanding performance awards for being one of the top students in each major. Additionally, I scored a 5 on the AP Literature test, AP Calculus AB test, and AP Psychology test, as well as an 800 on the SAT Math II test. I also have tutoring experience on a volunteer-basis for Math Science Nucleus and Abode Services for over 25 homeless and low-income children ranging from 3 to 16. Additionally, I was a resident advisor/tutor this past summer for 55 high school students (80% of whom were international students) at the Summer Focus program at UC Berkeley. For six weeks in this position, I led the math and writing portion of a 20-hour SAT class, and I helped the students to succeed in their college classes by creating practice exams, proofreading assignments, and answering their questions about a variety of subjects. This leads to a total of over 400 hours of tutoring experience.
I am a 22-year old high school graduate looking for some side jobs. I am great at math and have tutored numerous children and would love to continue doing so.

I think it's the passion I have for tutoring subjects I excel at. I build rapport quickly with students, and am very professional and honest in my dealings. Once I have a client, I am dedicated to them, and very rarely miss appointments. I want them to experience the same joy I have experienced in learning certain subjects. This for me is the process of giving back to others, what has been so freely given to me.
I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. While going to school, I was tutoring at a local elementary school and teaching the kids math. I am very patient and can show you new methods and ways of thinking that can help you solve problems. I will also motivate you to take initiative and seeks answers not just give them to you.
I have taught 7th and 8th grade math for over 15 years. Algebra and pre-algebra are my favorites, but math in general is fun!

Lailas appreciation and passion for learning and teaching came at an early age. Teaching Saturday playschool activities at the age of 12, she had her first TA position at her British Secondary school by 15, and began teaching English and Math through cartooning at 18. She is also academically excelled in that she began programming at 11, studied artificial intelligence at 16, 10 GCSEs, 4 A Levels. A very extensive BA and double Masters (which she completed simultaneously in 2.5yrs with a GPA of 3.93) which are MBA in marketing and management and an MIT in Applications development, and several certifications. Currently she tutors and teaches over 63 subjects, high-stakes standardized tests and study skills. Her secret is her aggressive desire to learn and having a highly skilled memory system does provide a great tool. She uses visual cues, technological mediums and traditional learning methods in order to provide the best possible results. She works with students from K-12, undergrad, and grad, from different learning curves including those with ADD and dyslexia. I truly do believe that education is a vehicle to pursue success. I enjoy teaching and facilitating the learning process. There is something amazing that happens when you watch a student learn and achieve understanding and in turn reach a higher grade or pursue further education. I am young, well educated in a variety of subjects. I do research on topics prior to meeting with students and I have both online, one-on-one and group tutoring/ teaching experience. I make teaching an understanding not just -'you need to learn this because you have to'. I try my best to find how you can best learn and apply those methods that suit you. Everyone is different and deserves to learn the way that they can achieve the most out of and to excel. I like to think of myself as well rounded and having worn many different hats to teach myself to become as versatile and knowledgeable in as many areas as I could. This I have practiced in my professional career as a brand specialist and as a tutor. I have pursued an extensive degree in undergrad, 2 masters and several certifications as well as a 20 year history as a tutor.
