I took drawing lessons with Celia when I was in high school years ago. She really helped me improve my composition, sketching, and shading techniques, leading to more realistic and refined pictures. My parents were also happy because we added a bunch more art decor for the house! Celia is a great person all-around, and an amazing artist. I highly recommend her!
Shelley has taught my 2 kids for 3 years since they were 3 and 5 years old. She is very talented in every kind of media. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to get creative at young age. She teaches with many kinds of mediums including clay, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, face painting, acrylic, balloons, and crafts etc. and introduced new project and theme every week. My kids have fun and a great learning experience. They are looking forward to their art lesson. They never get bored to learn with Ms. Shelley every week. She is kind, nice, funny, always smiling, and understanding. My kids have one hour lesson per week. After each lesson, Shelley always told me what they had accomplished their artwork that week. Sometimes, she assigned a light homework and my kids love to show her what they did during the week. My daughter enjoys the art lessons. She got award from Santa Clara County Young Artist showcase 2013. Her artwork will be displayed permanently at Santa Clara County Office of Education. We are so pleased with Shelley's teaching ability and professionalism and we highly recommend her as an art teacher to your kids or anyone who is interested in art and would like to improve the skills.
I have worked with Sayaka for several years, and she has given me a lot of helpful advice on how to improve my painting and drawing skills. She offers me insightful feedback on my completed work, as well as encourages me to take on new projects that I would never otherwise consider. For example, I am more comfortable painting in acrylic, but Sayaka has inspired me to try oil, and since then, I have broadened my horizons and feel ready to take on new challenges. Thank you Art Journey for making my artistic journey that much more fun and adventurous!
I took drawing lessons from Mansi and I must say I am very pleased and satisfied. I liked the one on one sessions and she is very professional and friendly. I also liked the fact that after a preview session she can customize the class according to your individual likes and strengths.
We love FAME. Ms. Gloria is a fantastic teacher. She makes piano lessons fun.
After taking lesson, my drawing skills definitely more solid and better than before. I would love to take more class with Magic station in the future.
Ross is awesome! I absolutely LOVE going to our painting class on Fridays. He is more than a painter, he is a master of his craft. He gave me the confidence to recognize my artistic talents, which was a step towards finding myself. Also, he has inspired me to shine bright with my own talents. In addition to being a painter, he is an inventor, an author and a wonderful asset to society. I am grateful for our time together and, while he becomes more celebrated for his contributions to humanity, I feel fortunate to be able to learn under his guidance. Thank you, Ross!
Bill is very intuitive and able to tailor the lesson to the needs of the student. He is proficient in many different mediums and allows the student to chose the medium as well as the subject matter. He gently guides the process, offers advice when asked and is able to offer constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement along the way. He is an excellent teacher.

Claire is a talented and passionate artist, and I really love her painting. Other than the basic skills for oil painting, she inspired me to observe things in different perspectives and be a risk taker to experiment more in my piece. And it was a very unforgettable experience with her and the others to complete a mural together in my last summer holiday before graduate. Even though it was quite tough but her enthusiasm always encouraged us to go further and further. I am highly recommended her as a teacher and the experience with her was great :)
My third grader and myself have taken art lessons in the past with Sneha and I truely recommend her. Sneha is very personable, patient and skilled. She not only teaches you painting techniques but also celebrates your inner creativity. We have created gorgeous paintings while having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. I have proudly displayed our paintings on a gallery wall in our home :) Sign-up for her classes and get inspired!
Alan provided a terrific private painting lesson. He brought all the materials and had a variety of exercises. Very kind and easy-going. Can definitely recommend!
I have a lifetime of serious art training and can actually draw, in a world where these days, everyone thinks they can't, and so no one tries any more, not even very many artists. I have an MFA from NYU and also studied art at Columbia, Parsons, the New School, the professional atelier of a prominent New York artist, and the San Francisco Art Institute. I studied art all over New York and Italy and France. I've spent my entire life drawing and painting. I have enough internal mastery of my craft to constantly innovate and pioneer new ideas all based on a solid foundation.
My name is Gaia, I'm an art student who took weekly private drawing and painting lessons with artist Reza. My time with Reza has been a very valuable experience for my blossoming career in the arts. For anyone considering to take private lessons I just want to share the benefits that you won't have in a regular classroom: • one on one interaction. • experiencing detailed demonstrations of first hand execution of every project by the teacher. • personalized instruction allows you to focus on your deficiencies and how to improve on them. Reza is a very talented artist, professional and expert of technique he is adept at instructing every level from beginners to advanced. I found it especially valuable to learn his classical training of painting.
I've taken many art lessons with Alan. I gained skill and love for myself through his playful, engaging, and creatives exercises.
My teaching stands out because I have much experience and patience with students of all skill levels. I am knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
I teach painting, book making, printmaking, acrylics, watercolor or whatever the customer needs. I have been working as a professional art maker for almost 30 years!
I am a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design of Sarasota, FL. I have been practicing drawing and painting since I was very young. I decided to attend this school to further progress in my field. There, I gained extensive knowledge of the practice of drawing and painting in various media and able to attain or warp realism with great control. I continue my practice nearly every day, and am currently working primarily in inked-line drawings. However, I am well-versed and still often enjoy painting in oils, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and ink and drawing with pen, ink, pencil, charcoal, etc. I am interested in teaching anything, from the basics of drawing and painting to a more structural and advanced anatomical and landscape drawing and painting, or even more conceptual forms of drawing and painting building strong concepts for a body of work and using more unconventional materials. I have more examples of various kinds of work not included on my website. -Amy
Private Art Lessons I am an artist who teaches beginner private art lessons to both children and adults. I began oil painting at a young age and continued to learn drawing and painting techniques (acrylics and watercolors) over the years. I enjoy sharing my creativity to help others discover their artistic talents. I minored in studio art at Santa Clara University and have had the joy of studying Impressionist art in Lake Como in Italy. Mural Work I enjoy painting murals as well. I have worked on two home murals and one restaurant mural. I assisted with the children's playroom at the Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco. I will help you brainstorm a theme and work with you to accommodate your budget. Commission Work I can be commissioned to paint a work of art for you. I enjoy painting still life, pets and landscape on canvas. Let me know what you are interested in creating! Pricing is determined by medium and length of time to complete the art project.
