I was looking for a piano instructor for a long time. I’m so glad that I finally found Clifford who is the exact the person who I was looking for. He teaches not only with his skill, but his passion as well. He has his own scientific and reliable system for each individual that helps students reach the goals. All the tools and materials that he recommended to me, became instrumental in my learning. He is working on jazz, blues, classical, bossa nova with me. I can see improvement in every class. Clifford is an amazing musician and instructor and I am grateful for his instruction.
Laura has a beautiful, clear singing voice, wonderful musicianship, and all the professionalism I could possibly have asked for. Laura tapped a contra-dance-calling and fiddle-playing friend of hers named Erik, and together they played an upbeat bluegrass line-up for my daughter's farm-themed birthday party at a tractor museum. The best part was the contra dancing, which Erik taught the participants in an easy-to-follow and friendly manner. Everyone got the hang of it and had an absolutely splendid time. Thank you so much, Laura and Erik, for making this event exactly the kind of birthday I'd hoped for my daughter. I really appreciate it.
Jan's guitar was the perfect background to our evening. His style makes it easy to socialize without having to compete with the music. His easy jazz was so nice to listen to. At one point we asked him to turn up the volume a little because once inside our venue, he played softly and we wanted to hear the beautiful music.
I had the opportunity to have this awesome band play at my house party! They were really talented and played a really good mix of jazz and latin which was perfect for our guests. You won't be sorry if you hire this band:)
The music was awesome! We had a little happy hour in an outdoor courtyard and the trio provided ambient background music without needing amplification, which made our lives so much easier. The bass player was a little late but the other two were early and started playing right on time. (None of the guests could tell that anything was missing). I will be reaching out the them again!
Ilana has been a great teacher and working with her over the past few months I've been able to refresh most of my playing abilities after a 12-year hiatus (plus learn to play new musical styles and music theory concepts as well). She is very patient, flexible and pushes you to continue improving your playing without making it a stressful experience. I highly recommend Ilana if you are looking to get back into playing violin or are a first-time student!
Kelly did so well at our wedding reception. He played classical, 90s and some slow jazz. Our guests really enjoyed their cocktail hour serenaded by live music. Thanks again Kelly!!
I was recently married on June 17, 2017 in L.A. California! Upon planning for the wedding I was slightly worried about finding the proper music to accommodate my husband's family. They are from France and I wanted them to be able to recognize and connect to the ceremony through the music. On the other hand, my family is Jewish. After doing some research I stumbled across Barbara Ochoa and her band OrKestra International. She sings in several different languages, was so personal and accommodating over the phone I thought I have to listen to her sing and prayed that I would love it. Lucky for me and my fiance, we did just that. We fell in love with her voice and knew instantly we had to book them. She explained how she could do a French song at the ceremory, a trio of European favorites for dinner and an American party band with horns that included the Hora for the dancing portion. On the wedding day Barbara and her band were beyond prepared. She told me “I have all the music covered, don’t worry” at first I though it’s my wedding so I’m going to worry but everything went so smooth all night. Funny everyone was singing along when they did "Volare." So many of the guests that came up to us had the same thing to say: they danced and had a blast. I think she must have handed out about 20 of her cards that night. Thank you Barbara for such a genuine experience that none of us from that night will ever forget.
Donna helped me to be a better music teacher. As a teacher, I took lessons and often refer to the wonderful notebook Donna put together for me, with tons of ideas and thoughts about music in general. Donna can help musicians, and beginners, to really understand the elements of music, and suggest how to make music your career, or just enjoy music as part of your life skills.
I'm a songwriter and have published a worship album in Mandarin last year. Though I'm considered a pretty good singer among people I know, I know there's a big difference between a pretty good amateur singer and a professional one. With the desire to close, or at least to minimize the gap, I looked online for a voice teacher who can help me, and found Ken. I like that he is a singer and composer himself, and more! Ken has good ears and a great sense of humor! He's also very good at communication. I sent him a song I posted on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIJkPgl72b4 before we met. He quickly identified a couple of things I need to work on. I knew right there this is someone I can definitely learn from. I'm glad Ken responded to my inquiry in the first place, though he's out of my range in distance! It takes forty minutes, with no traffic, to drive to his place, but it's all good! I could practice what I have just learned on the drive home by singing every road sign! Ken does not feed me with any standardized curriculum. He works around my needs. I just had my second lesson. We practiced every skill I need to improve with an original song I wrote. I'm sure my second album will sound much better from this point on! Thanks, Ken!
Pete performed at our wedding recently, and was truly amazing. He is a gifted guitar player, and has an incredible voice. He performed many acoustic songs, including versions of All of Me by John Legend, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Jefferson Starship, By Your Side by Sade, Candy Rain by Soul for Real, Pony by Genuwine, and Purple Rain by Prince. His repertoire seemed endless! Not to mention, he was at least 30 minutes early, jumped right in to help with set up, and was easy-going and delightful from start to finish. Our family and friends are still talking about Pete! Whether you have a crowd of 10 or 200, we highly recommend Pete as a performer, for his incredible talent, kindness and professionalism.
Didier performed at our Dia de los Muertos event. He arrived promptly, was very professional and a pleasure to have in our company. His guitar playing is beautiful and everyone enjoyed the music. I will definitely hire him for future events.
Jessica did a great job with my stepdaughter’s wedding. She was competent and professional with the ceremony, toasts, and announcements. She has clearly been a DJ at many weddings. Her mix of music really got the party started at the reception with country, rock and pop. It was great fun!! I would highly recommend her for your next event.
I used to play in band as a kid, but I never explored singing very much. I wanted to try something new and was curious to know if I was any good. Ashten has started from the very beginning with me. I never knew how much went into singing before I took lessons with her. And she's been patient teaching me all of the concepts and works at my pace. I am really enjoying studying the voice and never knew how possible it is to become a better singer if you use the right tools. I'm definitely seeing and hearing very positive results.
We hired Groovy Judy and her band to perform at a biker event. She was extremely professional and the band was great! They played well and their song selection was perfect. I highly recommend her.
