Prompt response, quick diagnosis, walked me through the issues and potential solutions for water damage in our basement closet without pushing any of them. The team was fast and able to procure end user materials for us (eg new carpet to replaced damaged area carpet)

I found a stain on my ceiling and upon opening a small hole by the plumber noticed there were some black mold. Contacted few providers here at Thumbtack. Barr and Helia were quick and followed up well. Barr was on time and explained everything well. They were awesome to work with and addressed the concerns. I might even considering going with them on future projects.

Had some minor water damage in the basement after a big storm. At the initial inspection, gave me a clear diagnosis of what he saw & how to treat it. When he did the repairs, the actual damage (mold!) was found to be more than expected but again no pressure or upselling, just answered my questions and let me decide. Even gave me advice on how to DIY install new baseboards. Very kind, professional, upfront service and good honest work.

They did a good job of assessing the process and removing the mold, but the quote did not include restoring the drywall and the drywall restoration quote was only shared after the mold and drywall was removed (and the quote for fixing the drywall was much higher than other providers). I would not use them again or recommend them given this gap, although I am thankful to have the mold removed. YMMV.

Upon the remediation estimate being provided we disclose that the repairs needed (after remediation) are a separate estimate. This is due to the fact with remediation jobs sometimes we may need to remove more of the affected area to fully get rid of the contamination and aren’t able to provide an accurate estimate on what actually needs to be repaired until the remediation is complete. It is a separate department and a courtesy service we provide for clients! We include the cost of rough materials in the estimate, so it can be higher than the remediation. As you mentioned to us we’re glad you were able to shop around and find a price that worked better for you, and I’m happy to hear you were still able to get the work done! We have standard pricing on repairs that may not work for all budgets and clients, unfortunately this was the case here but nonetheless we are grateful you went with us for the remediation and even if you don’t choose us again thank you for your feedback and comment that we can use to always make things as great of an experience as possible for our clients at Be Free Solutions. Bar stopped by to take a look at some discoloration in my house closet. He was on time and explained the situation, its potential causes, and proposed steps, both immediate and long term. He was extremely knowledgeable and had indepth answers to all of my questions (I had a lot). He broke down the proposed work into two steps that were easy to understand right after the inspection. I have not yet decided if I will do the work. But so far, I have been impressed with this company.
