I recommend Pete very highly. I dropped a glass of water on my MacAir (keyboard) and needed to retrieve data and get the laptop working. After going to Apple store and them recommending services - the total bill was expected to be around $2500 or so far more than a new one- That said, my backups failed and thus needed mine fixed. I found Pete on thumbtack and he was terrifice. 1 Responsive to my inquiry. 2. Diagnosed the problem in layman's terms and explained course of action. 3. Provided price per hour and general estimate. 4. After selecting him (reviewed three others and none came close to Pete's knowledge and real person demeanor) he met me at a place of my choosing and general time, started work right away, forecast certain difficulties he would face - and they came true - then tackled more serious issues during the fix and managed them well all the while communicating with me what he was doing, why, how much time he would spend. In the end, he helped bypass the need to through Apple to fix the entire computer and for about less than 1/2 the cost it would have through them. Pete is very professional and personable, honest, gets the work done while all the while letting you know what's happening - I wish more people i knew did their job this way! Hire him - I would again no questions asked. Regards, Raja Ramachandran
I had Will work on both my desktop and laptop for errors unknown to me that were keeping both machines from performing proper start-ups. He fixed both machines in a matter of days and was able to describe in full what had gone wrong and how to better maintain the machines so that the problems would not reoccur. I believe the only thing that I would have liked sooner was an estimate for the cost of the repairs. However, even so, he is the most affordable tech that I have found and his service was excellent. I will call him again when computer issues arise in the future.
Marty was excellent working on my Dell computer. He was confident in his work and methodically went through steps to get to a repaired computer. I will be calling Marty again in the future when I replace my old device.
* I needed to get my speakers in family room and living room working. I had to get all my systems connected to receiver. * I needed to get my internet networking in the house and NIC panels which were not working to be replaced. Bill did all the research and sent me links to cheapest parts and receivers I could buy based on my home system and already existing panels. He even purchased some of the parts for me and got it shipped to his house. He showed me all the receipts from Ebay and did not charge me extra for that effort. He knows his stuff and am sure he is going to get all my business He is still helping me fix my telephone line even though the original task is completed.
David called almost immediately, we connected and he was able to identify and repair the problems with my computer that same evening using TeamViewer. David also noticed and fixed my wife's computer (which was networked to mine). That was a real bonus. I highly recommend Gurunerds!
Great and nice guy, I told him I have a really busy schedule and he understand that and drop by on Sunday, before that I went to a big so called professional store and they couldn't get it repair and I have to pay for diagnose or change all my parts, I decide to call Darren up and let him know of my situation, he get it repair without changing any parts and work hard on finding the issues of my laptop. I paid him extra as I feel he was very professional and really wanted to help my problems. Will like to thank him again, two thumbs up for the guy!
Ben was so very helpful. Patient in listening to my concerns but lightening fast/super smart in working with my computer and resolving the problem. He calls himself a "Computer Coach" which is much different and better than "Computer Repair"...because often it is not the case that the computer is malfunctioning...it is that someone (like me) may not know how to navigate the issues. He provided some good follow up to make sure that everything was working well for me. If you happen to book an appointment at his place, don't be put off by the shabby exterior of the house... and of course, he also will make an appointment to come see you at your home or place of business. I highly recommend Sustainable Computing.
Sean was very helpful and I learned a great deal during the remote repair session he provided. I will recommend him to friends and family with computer issues!
I have only the highest praise for this company. They were reasonably priced, prompt, respectful and personable. I already referred a few friends to them for their IT/repair needs.
The best computer repair service company I've ever hired. Very fast response and very efficient. They truly are experts in their field. Thank you for the great service!
so it's Saturday afternoon and suddenly my Pioneer dj controller isn't allowing my audio signal to be processed and pass through to my powered speakers . . . to make a long story short, with the way that my home studio is configured that basically meant that I wouldn't be able to get anything done until at least Monday. sucks, right? wrong! so I go to Thumbstack and I immediately find Iconppower and within minutes i was connected to Johnny Lai and he and I were able to arrange an appointment for 5pm Saturday evening! Awesome, right... but would Johnny be able to actually figure out what was going on with my home studio and remedy it? answer: yes, no problem. First, let me say that I think I haven't made a big enough deal about perhaps the most important fact of this whole experience.... JOHNNY CAME TO ME! any other service and i no doubt would have take each component of my home studio individually to a repair person and that would have cost me a lot of $$$ to probably still not have had the problem taken care of -- - and that would definitely suck! but not with Johnny from Icomppower, he came to my place within an hour and he took his time to work through my issue and he was able to figure out the fix and I was back in the mix making music before 6 pm - - - and his fee? so maybe the best part of the deal.... It really couldn't have been more reasonable, especially when you consider that I had already spent 3-4 hours of my own time trying to figure out the issue without being even remotely successful - - - so when you consider what the alternative could have cost me and the amount of down time that Johnny saved me... definitely a fair deal for me! thanks Johnny. brian b

Hello, my name is Trey Franco, and I believe my passion for technology can get you through the situation you are having. I have been doing technology repairs, swaps, diagnostics and re-images for over 3 years now. I have studied a variety of different technologies to keep up with the growing industry. In the education department, I attended CCOC which is known as the Central County Occupation Center. I learned all about Windows and the operating system itself inside and out as well as work in the Mouse Squad department where we worked on computers that were brought in to us by users who need a technician's help to fix their computers problem. Not only did we get the chance to do that, but we also study and got the chance to earn our CompTIA A+ certification, which I received and passed the first try. After I grew from that experience, I wanted to take what I learned and expand and see where it can take me, and that's when looking around I found out about the YearUp program. I studied for 5 months and five days a week, earning college IT credits and going through all sorts of training, so I can be properly trained and ready to be put in a 6-month internship at one of the top technology companies, Mozilla FireFox. While there, I got the opportunity to learn the heart of the company, The Data Center from top to bottom, including racking, stacking and cabling the systems as well as entering the IP information into the nodes while also learning about the ILO system (integrated lights out). I am also adding it into inventory and organizing everything. After my time at Mozilla, I transferred over to one of the top investment companies doing help desk work for them such as setting up accounts and making sure all the departments knew of new hires as well as answering calls from employees and helping them fix their computer problems. I believe the opportunities I have been given the past 4 years and the hard work I have put into it made me learn so much about the technology world. I believe I could be of great assistance to you.
Even I have technicians, but I do most of the jobs by myself, or I follow up with my technicians. I always check what they done even they are experts in their work. I do that because I want to make sure that the computer Is %100 perfect before I give it to my customer. Second, my price is always affordable for the customers and none of my clients ever complain about the price.
