Introduction: I have had a passion for recording audio, making videos and taking photographs since I was in my early teens that led me to study film and aesthetics at Sonoma State University. I learned a great deal there from excellent teachers about how to observe and develop perception skills using both natural and flash lighting techniques to create emotionally moving results with my camera.
I later trained at a video production center in Port Jefferson, Long Island, worked on the TV film crew at 510TV, co-founded Clear Light Video Productions, and had the opportunity to develop my video editing skills further with the professional staff at the East Bay Media Center in Berkeley, CA.
Over my 25 years of experience with Clear Light Video Productions, I have developed a special skill in creating event slideshows and capturing slow motion moments, such as a wedding couple’s “first look” or sports live action. I also have a great deal of traditional videography and photography experience in video recording and photographing special events, small business promotional projects, legal depositions and corporation functions, as well as individual or group portraits and real estate shoots.
As you can see from my profile, the wide range of events I have memorialized include: weddings, engagements, baby showers, birthdays, proms, funerals, memorials, anniversaries, fashion runway events, quinceañeras, sweet sixteen parties, retirement celebrations and corporate events, in addition to theatrical, musical, singing and dancing performances.
I really enjoy using my audio visual skills and background to tell a story that captures the spirit and mood of celebrations. Knowing that I exceeded my clients’ expectations and that they feel happy and satisfied with my work motivates me in bringing a project to fruition. Clients also appreciate my creative can-do attitude and my great sense of humor that makes working with me more like having fun. I also relish the empowering process of establishing good two way communication before, during and after each event so that project requirements get shared and met.
Before I start on a project, I therefore aim to make sure my clients and I understand each other thoroughly and that I've earned their trust so that they can relax and enjoy their special events knowing they are in good and responsible hands.
