From start to finish Nick has been wonderful to work with. He was very patient with me while we discussed the design process and worked his magic on every aspect of my site. He stuck to our agreed upon deadlines, even when I would hold up the process, and was very responsive to my various requests and questions. The time and effort he put in to designing my logo to capture my personality, all while maintaining the professionalism that I wanted to convey, really shows in the final product. His knowledge of design shows in the quality of his work. I highly recommend him.Nov 6, 2020

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing ($60/hour). However, the hours and price of any particular project will depend on your needs and budget. This type of work is not a one-size-fits-all type of pricing model. How much discount I can give, and shown many hours something might take really depends on a lot of factors. Above all, I strive to provide value for my customers. So let's talk about your business goals, and I'll set the right price for you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to kick things off with a phone consultation, free of course, and get to know you and your business. To understand what it is you're looking for and why. It's helpful to know what you're looking to do so I can help drive return on investment. Once we get to know each other and I understand what your goals are, and you're happy with what you hear from me, I start my research. I analyze your industry and competitive landscape to assess how I can be most effective for you. I then provide at least a couple versions of any design work for you to choose from. Then, depending on the project scope, I like to test designs with your customers to ensure they are the focus of the design. To validate any assumptions we are making about them. And to ensure usability, usefulness, and impact.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have worked in tech for almost two decades. I attended a private vocational school in Orange County, CA named Wolden Multimedia Institute from 2000-2001. I then started work as a web designer almost immediately. Since then, I have taken several college courses, completed more vocational courses, and worked tirelessly to self-educate over the course of my career. Most recetly I attended General Assembly in San Francisco to study User Exepeirence Design. And I'm constantly reading books and doing online courses using services such as Udemy.com and LinkedIn Learning to study various fields relating to this work. Technology is constantly changing and improving at an astounding rate, as you know, so the tech space requires its practitioners to keep pace. Which I happily do. This work is my life and I like to geek out on it :)
