Carolyn was very knowledgeable and helpful. She happily helped me out and cleaned up my yard last minute. I will be using her going forward.

We have just begun but Carolyn seems to really know her stuff, is pleasant to work with, and is also reasonably priced. My partner and I have some different ideas about developing the garden and Carolyn seems to deal well with this challenge.

I am so happy that Carolyn came and planted my 5 trees, plus the extra shrub that I sprung on her. The site presented a few challenges but she had the tools for the job. Not only a thoroughly delightful person, Carolyn is knowledgable, enthusiastic and caring. I learnt a lot from her visits and look forward to more plantings and pruning and good advice in the future.

Carolyn has worked wonders for our little garden. She completely weeded it, covered the sandy floor with wood chip and made us flower beds. She brought the mulch and wood chip with her - so easy! Punctual, really sweet and does tree pruning too, so am going to be calling her soon!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently enrolled in the Landscape Horticulture Department at Merritt College. I take classes on an ongoing bases, in Aesthetic Pruning, Landscape Design and Landscape Horticulture. This spring I took an amazing plant ID class, completely out in the field, where I learned key botanical and horticultural characteristics of Native Plants in the Bay Area. I was able to apply this info on a large installation in SSF. where I needed to plan for very little dry season water. I was also involved in a semester long training, also out in the field, in which I was mentored in the art and science of Aesthetic Pruning. Lastly, I just finished up an intensive training with the Pleasanton water district to qualify as a Water Efficient Landscaper. This qualification will also allow me to be an EPA Water Sense Partner.
