Don't judge this studio by the rustic house it's been carved out of. The setup inside is amazing, from the high quality equipment to the great ambience and aesthetics. David Hughes is an awesome audio engineer, with years of experience. From hip-hop to Rock, he can work with any producer/artist/band from multiple genres. I recommend shine on studios to anyone. - J. We hired Anthony for our wedding in April 2016 and were extremely satisfied with his services. Anthony delivered everything you could want in a DJ with flying colors. Let me break them down: 1) Excellent attention to detail and availability in the months-long planning process -- Anthony was eager to please and provided personalized service at every step. A couple weeks before the event, he spent 2 hours with my bride and I to consult with us and tailor our event and understand how we wanted it to be run, and what kind of music we wanted, etc. We were particularly pleased with pieces of wisdom and advice he offered regarding how to most effectively transition from one part of the event to the next to keep our guests happy. He's got great knowledge and insight because he's been doing weddings for so long. 2) Focused and adaptive day-of coordination -- Anthony was excellent at running the schedule and smoothly transitioning our guests from component of the event to the next. He was the guy with his head in the game throughout the night so that we didn't have to be thinking about anything. He stuck to the schedule, but also knew when to adapt and improvise on the fly. He was a great communicator on the microphone to our guests -- very authentic personality (and not at all cheesy, which I consider to be a pitfall of so many wedding DJs). 3) Perfect song selection and considerable skill as a DJ -- We picked Anthony because his personal taste in music seemed to match ours: old school R&B, soul, hip-hop, etc (although please know that this dude can spin any genre of your taste with skill...he's been around the block a few times before). All I can say is that he delivered in a BIG way. He has excellent taste in music and a seasoned feel for reading the energy of the room and keeping the party going. I can't tell you how many guests commented to me on Anthony's performance throughout the night. I received so many enthusiastic compliments on the tunes and the fades, and the little bits of scratching he did here and there. It was a perfect dance party for the best day of our lives. Whatever type of event you're throwing, I recommend Anthony with the highest enthusiasm.
I have worked with Ben Bernstein on numerous projects. He is reliable, friendly, very funny, professional and skilled at his many talents. I have performed with Ben, utilizing his talents as a bassist, but mostly I have turned to him for his consistent and high quality work in the studio as an engineer. I produce numerous genres of music: folk, rock, hip hop, country, salsa Ben is willing to do the research and work to make my recordings, mixes and masters sound top-notch.
Professional, helpful and extremely experienced with Hip Hop. Hands down the best studio I've ever hired for recording, mixing and mastering. If that's not enough, Bruce plays outstanding guitar.
He's my cello teacher. I'm a beginner at cello but have extensive music training and experience. Joseph is a very skilled cellist. He's classically trained but is proficient at a variety of styles including hip-hop, jazz, etc. His teaching style (for me at least) encourages breaking down the parts of playing to focus on specific techniques, often assigning exercises that require patience but can push me to the next level. He has good feedback for me and lets my interests drive the program. When I had minor complaints about the workload, he took the feedback well and quickly enacted adjustments. His schedule is a little chaotic during the summer since he's a working musician but he's always punctual and communicates (mostly through texts) responsively.
I am an aspiring hip hop artist just getting my feet wet in the music industry. I have been wanting to put out my own music for as long as I can remember, but never had the connections or funds to ever think I could put anything out. I met Deejay Wheelchair Mafia and instantly made a connection that I knew would be beneficial to jumpstart my career as a musician. When we got together, I was blown away and inspired watching him work the processes that it takes creating a track. He was very professional, diligent, and what seemed like an insurmountable amount of work we needed to get done; he was able to do everything I asked and more, all while maintaining a positive attitude. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to work with Deejay Wheelchair Mafia. I not only hope to work with him again in the future, but highly recommend him to any artist who is looking to work with a professional who puts in not only a lot of energy into putting out a good product, but puts his heart and soul into his craft.
