We were looking for catering services for our small and intimate wedding during December 2015. Food was a big part of the event, but we also had a limited budget, so we shopped around to find someone that would fit our needs. Pete understood our menu concept right away and was able to work with our budget. He didn't fuzz about small details that we wanted to incorporate and went above and beyond to make them happen. He even provided ideas on how to improve the overall experience, not just the food. We interviewed lots of chefs and catering companies and we couldn't be happier about working with Pete. Our foodie friends and family members praised the food, the presentation was extraordinary and the service was very professional. Pete also provided support for the drinks, bringing with him a great mixologist that crafted creative drinks for the crowd. Finally, the next morning Pete prepared brunch for guests that spent the night at the venue (and ourselves) and even tho some things did not go as planned for him (the professional oven broke down!), he was able to have everything ready flawlessly by the time we woke up. Thank you Pete for taking care of such important part of our event! We are looking forward to working with you again.
Sat was absolutely amazing! Very easy to communicate with, accommodated all of our wishes and dietary restrictions, made generous portions and absolutely delicious food. And after dinner, he left the kitchen even cleaner than it was when he got there. Would always book him again and recommend him to anyone who would like a perfect private chef experience.

A-Plus staff (chef/server and bartender) arrived early and went right to work as we had 175 guests. Bartender quickly organized the bar and made pitchers of signature drinks to get ahead of the coming rush of guests. Hot appetizers were prepared and served to hungry arriving guests. Great service by the A-Plus team. We will use again!
I have worked with many chefs in the past and Stephanie stood out as exceptional not only for the wonderful food she made, but also for her easy going nature and ability to accommodate our many additions requests. She truly went above and beyond and our event was a great success due to her hard work. I am looking forward to working with her in the future and I hughkg recommend her.
Quiche & Carry (Chef Deborah Moss and her assistants) prepared a tasty feast for my guests. The items were extraordinary! I took a bite of a spring roll to be pleasantly surprised with a flavorful curry marinade on the tofu. The salad and dressing were flavored with mint. The miniature quiches and stuffed mushrooms were especially delicious. There were bite sized fruit tarts, pecan pie, and a gorgeous fruit platter. And so much more! Many of my guests told me that the food was, "Amazing!" Thank you Quiche & Carry for making my event one that I and my guests will never forget.

Having worked with a few different chefs, with varying results, I can enthusiastically recommend Chet Chase! From start to finish, working with him was a pleasure. Prior to my event, Chet proactively responded to my requests, suggesting options, working with my budget and numbers - and adjusting the menu when my numbers changed. During my event, Chet and his assistants were thorough, on-time, organized, adding an item on the fly, and provided a seamless experience. And something I have not seen from other chefs - clean, stocked with their own cleaning supplies, and left the kitchen as clean as it ever was. I will definitely be using Chet Chase for my next event!
My husband forgot to tell me he had agreed to host a cocktail party for 40 guest only 8 days away. When I talked to Graham he said he was available and within a day he had a menu and some suggestions about the bar.Graham arrived at our apartment in S.F. 2 hours before the event and just made everything so easy and and gracious that the party seemed like it had been planned way in advance. Graham served small bites of very tasty canapes and wonderful french style sliders that satisfied everyone. The whole evening was a success from set up to clean up and I was able to enjoy being the hostess and not worry about anything. Graham makes eating good food a total joy and I look forward to catering future parties with him as the Chef. Carole

From the point of connecting with Daniella about my dinner party, to meeting with her in person beforehand to discuss menu and pricing, and on to the event itself, there was never a time I didn't feel confident in her experience and her ability to pull off a fantastic Greek dinner for my friend's 60th birthday. And that she did! My friends are still raving about her and I could not have been more pleased with every single detail. Food was fabulous! I highly recommend Daniella for any catering needs or for cooking for a private party. She handles it all. Wish I could have her cook for me on a regular basis!
i cannot recommend Chef Laura enough. I just hired Laura for a small dinner party for my mother-in-law's birthday and she was phenomenal and her dishes were delicious. This was my first time using a personal chef and Laura made the experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish. I looked at quite a few local chefs when I started thinking about a personal chef option and Laura was hands down the most responsive, helpful and offered the most menu options too. Not only did she prepare 3 amazing courses and a lovely cheese/meat platter, she printed off personalized menus, presented and served each lovely course, filled water and wine glasses throughout the night, cut and served the birthday cake (not to mention lit candles and helped my toddler bring it in to the bday girl) and left my kitchen looking spotless with dishes done and all. Oh and everything she made - including the pasta - was gluten free. Dealing with our party's dietary restrictions was no problem for Laura. It was the most stress-free dinner party I've ever hosted and my guests raved about the food. The portions were also large - such a good value. Having Laura in our kitchen was a joy - she is very nice, easy-going and personable. We will definitely be using Laura again in the future! Our guests were even asking for her contact info. Chef James is an artist. Good chefs are. He is also an excellent teacher – in all the best aspects of the word. He explains the foundation of what he is doing. He repeats and demonstrates basic cooking concepts in different ways to make sure ALL of his class catches on. He talks about cooking theory – but reduces it to immediate practice. His lesson about the difference between taste and flavor was perfect (you need to talk with Chef James). More importantly he lets the class do the work and learn. How awesome is that. Oh yes, you and your friends (or family) have fun.
Dawn and Marty were simply amazing. Marty is the chef and is more passionate about food then any chef I've ever met. He went beyond the extra mile to prepare amazing food for our wedding. The quality of the food and the the caliber of service provided by Dawn was outstanding. We live over 300 miles away from where the wedding was held so we had to hire our caterer remotely. We were worried about that at first, but Dawn put us completely at ease. She arranged for a site visit and then a private tasting at their facility. That was AMAZING! Appetizers, main courses, desert AND wine. What a great preview. Dawn helped us coordinate our order with the rental company and gave lots of helpful tips. Marty accommodated a special request my bride wanted which was to replace the traditional wedding cake with a tiered 60 cup Creme Brûlée desert tower! Wow... incredible. I heard several guest snuck two helpings :) Dawn and Marty were not just Caterers, they became family to us as they helped make the day a huge success! We would absolutely recommend their service to others and will use them again!
We had a wonderful time with Chef James. He was so professional and made our dinner experience so memorable. We asked Chef James to let his creative juices flow and surprise us with his recipe (all we asked was that the meals were seasonal and refreshing). He came back with a luau themed meal including: ceviche, apple cabbage salad with ginger sauce, tomato and chard salad, AMAZING tamales, and much, much more. He also brought his own cookware! Chef Cheri has been an ABSOLTE PLEASURE to work with during the prep phase for my friends' special Romantic Dinner for Two! Chef Cheri is extremely professional, open to suggestions, and committed to creating the perfect event! I will surely leave more comments after the dinner.... I know it will be AMAZING!
So glad we hired Dan from Mise En Place for our most recent dinner party! After discussing options with him, we went with the Kokkari-inspired menu on his website. It tasted exactly like the dishes we've had there so many times. Amazing. We've already booked him for another party in a few weeks. So happy we found Mise En Place on Thumbtack — Dan's now our go-to home chef!
I've had the pleasure of having Debbie cook for my husband and I in our home and highly recommend her as a personal chef. Debbie's cooking is light, healthy and deeply flavorful. She cooks with fresh herbs and vegetables -- easily tailoring a meal to my preferences and what we have available in our pantry. She is meticulous in the kitchen and in the presentation. The final plate looks as fantastic as it tastes.
