Our family was looking for a chef to prepare weekly dinners. We were new to this and Sat was extremely helpful, flexible, and collaborative. He has prepared meals for us twice and were so pleased that he now comes regularly. He works with us to design a weekly menu to suit our family's needs and understands our particular eating habits. It had become challenging to juggle work, activities and cooking, and we grew tired of eating out. This service has allowed us to reduce the amount of stress in planning and preparing meals and decrease worry about eating healthy. We can now enjoy precious time with our children with a delicious home cooked meal.
Alisa is very professional. Her food was very delicious and everyone enjoyed her cooking. On Nov 9, 2014 our non profit outreach organization held a fund raising event. Everyone told me her food was out of this world. I highly recommend Alisa's services. Alisa is amongst the best around the Bay Area. My husband Garth, myself and our volunteers enjoyed Alisa and her tasty dishes.
Andrea and team made for a most enjoyable evening with friends. Not having to be stressed about cooking etc, I was able to sit back and relax with my guests. Everyone raved about the meal. Her easy going attitude was also a plus! I will definitely use her again.
David Shevick 5 starGrace catered my 54th b-day party in my new home in San Rafael. I also hired the James Morsely Band. It was all first class. The food was phenomenal. Each dish was unique, original and delicious. Grace put so much love into the food--home-made cheese birthday cake, exotic salads and pastries. I had like 40 people and all the food was devoured. I really appreciate who Grace is and what she does.
We hired Chef Graham last-minute to help with a fun event for a 19th birthday, where the birthday girl wanted her friends and family to participate in the cooking process. I just made the booking and wasn't personally in attendance for the event, but I heard from all who where that Chef Graham was incredibly skilled and charming and an all-around great find. Highly recommended and thanks again!
From the point of connecting with Daniella about my dinner party, to meeting with her in person beforehand to discuss menu and pricing, and on to the event itself, there was never a time I didn't feel confident in her experience and her ability to pull off a fantastic Greek dinner for my friend's 60th birthday. And that she did! My friends are still raving about her and I could not have been more pleased with every single detail. Food was fabulous! I highly recommend Daniella for any catering needs or for cooking for a private party. She handles it all. Wish I could have her cook for me on a regular basis!
Zach was excellent! We had a total of 6 private cooking lessons over the course of 4 months. Each time he came to our house for a couple hours as we created a wide variety of my favorite dishes from local restaurants in Sonoma. He taught us ways to modify a meal so you could have more variety with the same dish by just changing a few spices or ingredients, what to look for to know you're on the right track or how to "save a dish" if you veer off, and different techniques that were really useful. I'd highly recommend him!
So glad we found Dan's company on this website. From the first point of contact he was completely on top of everything. At first we wanted to have a cooking class, but after talking with him about the other types of experiences he could offer, we went with a demonstration/dinner party which was so much better than an actual class. We went with the Cotogna inspired menu and got to learn just as much, while spending time with our friends drinking wine. Perfect night!
Jon, and his assistant Danny, catered a sit down dinner for 24. The menu included several appetizers, salad, Filet Mignon and lobster with fingerling potatoes and veggies, and a homemade raspberry filled buttercream cake (as requested) for my husbands 70th birthday. Everything was perfect!!!!!! Exceeded our expectations. Not only was everything amazing but Jon and Danny couldn’t have been any nicer. Several of my guests are already arranging to use them for their upcoming events. We would definitely use them again. They made my husbands 70th so special. Could t be happier.

Marisa was to help 20 women at a wedding shower cook 4 meals to be served for lunch. Her menu was fabulous, and her generosity of spirit in working with me phenomenal-a bit disorganized at the site, but there were a lot of people and instruction for the cooking was difficult. It didn't help that timing to get there by all, including her, was compromised by the Bay to Breakers race!
Elyse is incredible! I hired her to cater my sister's baby shower and she did such an amazing job that I went on to hire her as my personal chef. I am currently finishing my doctorate degree and at the time I had classes from 8:00AM-9:00PM which made it difficult for me to make healthy meals. Every week Elyse would deliver a basket filled with delicious home-cooked meals that were catered to my personal tastes. She was always open to suggestions and requests, and found creative ways to make certain dishes vegetarian for me. When I was feeling under the weather, she made me an amazing miso soup and other dishes to help me feel better. I was so sad when she left the Bay Area to go to the East Coast; her cooking was the highlight of my week. As a caterer, she is very professional. She will work closely with you to create a menu that will suit the occasion perfectly. She really takes care of everything to make sure you can relax and indulge in a fantastic meal. Every guest at my sister's shower raved about the food and all wanted to hire her for their next event.
I contacted Veena to see if I could arrange a private cooking class for my Mom as a Mother's day gift. I asked whether she could accommodate me (a vegetarian) and my mom (passionate meat eater) and Veena said absolutely. I sent Veena a handful of my Mom's favorite recipes (including a more obscure and apparently heavily British dish called Lamb Pasanda) and she created a meal plan that included everything and more. We showed up and Veena greeted us warmly. Her kind energy and passion for her food and culture were clear. She never made us feel like we were asking silly questions and kept the experience light and fun. She was basically willing to go into as much detail or as little detail as we wanted. It was a very affordable class considering it was a 3 hour long private sessions for the two of us. We even went home with tons of leftovers, a spice kit (black cardamom smells amazing), and recipes for our dishes! Veena took pictures of our experience and offered her help for any future cooking questions we had. She said she could always offer a suggestion for a substitution (ex. if we needed a dairy free version) or questions on grocery stores to find certain ingredients. Thank you Veena!!! Quick summary PROS: very adaptable, super warm and kind energy, affordable, fun, not intimidating, yummy food. CONS: scheduling was a little difficult because there was no calendar or online service to use. It was through email so we did have some communication mishaps initially—no big deal really.
I have thoroughly and consistently enjoyed Laura's gourmet cooking over many years. At one point, I was on a very restricted diet, and Laura's cooking made the experience a delight. She has a remarkable facility with a variety of cuisines, with a special talent for Italian.
Jessica is the ULTIMATE in-home chef. It is hard to know where to begin. First, my husband and I loved the fact that every dish Jess made for us was healthy, delicious, and with a little twist of "something extra." Any veggie or "super food" you've been wanting to try but never knew how - Jess can take and whip up something fun, inventive, and satisfying. She was keen on tailoring menus to our specific taste preferences. When Jess cooked for us after our son was born, she was also knowledgeable about what foods would be best for a new mommy...to aid stamina, healing, or the feeling of being totally well-cared-for. She was a huge help with meal planning as well, and left our home with a refrigerator-full of meals with clear and easy instructions for prep. In addition, Jess has prepared the food for a number of our dinner parties (6-8 people) and a family gathering (30+ people). Aside from an insanely delicious and memorable meal/spread, Jess is just simply the kind of person you want to have around. Her optimism, cheerfulness, and can-do attitude is contagious! Since having Jess as our "personal chef," my husband and I now put some of our cooking lessons to use on a daily basis...homemade almond milk, anyone? We wish we could have Jess cook EVERY meal for us! She will leave your family feeling full, happy, healthy, and ready to take on the kitchen.
Anita is knowledgeable and explains clearly any cooking steps. Its a pleasure to cook as she teaches and one gains a secure understanding of the recipe since she allows for the student their own thinking space and doesn't "hold your hand" too much.
Tessa is an amazing culinary instructor and chef! My boyfriend and I took her Thanksgiving Basics class and loved it. The class was informative and fun, with the perfect balance of hands-on cooking and demonstrations. We got to take home some delicious recipes handcrafted by Tessa - which I will definitely using for Thanksgivings to come!
Great teacher - the most hands-on classes in SF. Everything is delicious plus he is very approachable and eager to share all his tips and tricks of the trade (where to shop for certain ingredients and equipment, etc).
