Wellspace SF is a wonderful discovery! I was looking for help and guidance around nutrition and relationship to food. I am glad to have found this place. The folks I communicated with were so professional and caring, and they matched me up perfectly with a nutritionist/food coach who has the perfect background and personality for my needs! My daughter had put on weight and needed to lose this for health reasons - inspiring a teenager to lose weight effectively is not an easy task but Vicki has been fantastic. She clearly explains everything - and why you need to cut certain foods from your diet and add others in - her meal plans are quite easy to adhere to and work into a family menu - the teenager was very happy to see she could enjoy snacks between meals. Four weeks into the plan and we can see the results not only both on and off the scales but my daughter feels healthier and has more energy which inspires her to maintain her new healthy eating and exercise program. I would recommend Vicki highly to anyone who not only is looking to lose some weight but also just to get into to a healthier and more nutritious way of eating.

Let me tell my story. I was looking for place where I can challenge my body and relax my brain. From the bagging I felt that this place is THE PLACE. 7 am bootcamp is really hard for non-morning person. After first 2 weeks, I started feeling more energy during the day. So mornings are not that bad. Next big thing for was a Tough Mudder run. Lori believed in me and helped to prepare. I finished it. 14 miles up/down Tahoe Northstar Ski resort, 20+ obstacles, 1 ice bath(google Arctic Enema), 2 electroshock etc. Next month I was playing volleyball and completely torn my ACL. With Lori's help I successfully went thru rehab. She is amazing educated coach. Lori knows everything about human body and muscles, diets and nutritions etc. My nutritionist told my exactly the same as Lori did a couple months earlier. After 1 year I lost about 30 pounds and 4 sizes :) So if you are willing to work hard and achieve a results this is a right place.

New Year, New Me! That's what I said last year. One of my goals was to improve my diet and nutrition. My fitness goals were on track but I felt the nutrition side of the equation was lacking. Plus, I was trying to reduce my meat intake and try a vegan/vegetarian diet. I talked to a few friends but couldn't find something that worked for me. I struggled through most of the year failing miserably at my nutrition goals. Things changed midway through the year. I meet Julianne at a meetup and we got to talking about endurance sports and nutrition needs. Julianne is a plant-based triathlete. I was impressed at her accomplishments and decided to book a session with her. She was patient as I asked a million questions. She helped me understand how I could improve my diet, and gave me simple ways so I could track success. I attended a few of her wellness retreats where she taught us more about plant-based nutrition and served us some delicious food. It was really exciting as I learned that my diet didn't have to be just tofu and water. Phew! Julianne helped me understand exactly what I needed to eat to feel stronger and perform better. I feel so much healthier and energized knowing what to eat. Having the right guidance has fast tracked this. I highly recommend her!

I've been using Jessica McCartney Fitness as my Nutritionist since mid-July. She took the time to read over food logs, various forms I filled out, and set me up with a plan. She monitors my food logs, sends me recipes and various helpful articles, tips, motivation to keep me on track. In addition, she checks in with me every other week, by phone, in order to fine tune my eating plan. In between those phone calls, she even sends motivational texts and tips. Since I've started with her, I've lost 10 pounds in six weeks! And, I'm not hungry. I'm going to continue with Jessica in order to reach my goals. I can tell they are still in the start-up phase, so some things need to be sorted out. But the team there is well put together, the training sessions were difficult but well paced and I felt energized. Good find.
