I would recommend him for anything you need help with. Such a friendly guy and truly wants to provide good work, which he did! He should be everyone’s go to! Without a doubt one of the better people in this world, keep on helping people out and being an awesome human, not many left of those! Thanks for getting our door fixed, I think my wife was about ready to throw me in the trash for not being able to fix it haha. Hopefully you’re doing great! -The Luis FamilyAug 1, 2020Verified
I hired Doug to install a shiplap wall fixture to house an electric fireplace. He was upfront and provided an honest price quote for the project. He was very meticulous with his work and made sure it was perfect! Overall, would definitely hire again for future projects! Thanks!Sep 7, 2020Verified

License Type: B - General Building Contractor (CA)
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is straight forward. For smaller or unclear jobs I charge $65/hour with a minimum of 4 hrs for handyman work. Full day rates are discounted. For specific projects, I provide a conservative estimate up front. Actual costs are usually less. If I am uncomfortable with my abilities to perform the work well, I will let you know up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. Walk through customer goals, schedule, budget and desired quality. 2. Discuss access and safety (their and ours) 3. Discuss mutual expectations and payment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a licensed general contractor and mechanical engineer. I have had a diversity of training and experiences over that past thirty (30) years. I started out in customer service in high school, then roofing, framing and building beautiful decks on summer homes in the mountains to put myself through engineering courses in college. Since then, I have worked on many building types and all building systems including: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, solar, wind and even nuclear engineering for a few years. As a homeowner and general contractor, I know what quality and professional work is. So for my entire career, I have always been inquisitive and tried to learn from the best and exceed customer expectations.
