FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system goes like this. For common documents such as divorces, bankruptcy, evictions and corporations, they are flat rate prices. Simple documents are also flat rate prices. Anything more complex like motions, civil complaints, responses etc., go by the hour because not only do you have to research, you have to make your point come across clearly. People don't sometimes understand the amount of time it takes to research cases and laws.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly attending seminars (I am going to one in August in Vegas), reading legal publications and I belong to the American Bar Association which, sends me a monthly publication of the latest news and trends in the legal industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was previously a law enforcement officer and had to medically retire after 15 years. I decided to stay in the field of law, so I went back to school and received my paralegal certificate, my Bachelors (in paralegal studies) and my Masters in Legal STudies.
