- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The very first step is to understand the clients goals and expectations. Contingent on the goals, industry and the client's target group, I develop a comprehensive and integrative Social Media Marketing Plan based on the principles of traditional marketing. Only if I get an understanding of your target market, I know what type of content is relevant to them, what type of messaging they respond to, what kind of social platforms to use and how. This marketing plan also includes social media branding, a content plan, tactics and strategies to be used, contest ideas and other additional marketing ideas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Dr. Natalie Guse has a Bachelor's Degree in Media & PR, a Master's Degree in Marketing and a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. She wrote her doctoral thesis on the impact of Social Media Marketing on the business revenue of US companies.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was one of the first marketing experts to implement Social Media Marketing Techniques into a traditional marketing campaign in 2004 when I was hired by Stuttgart Marketing (one of the FIFA Host Cities for the Soccer FIFA World Cup in Germany 2006). I was responsible for developing marketing strategies to attract more tourists to the beautiful city of "Stuttgart" in the light of the Soccer FIFA World Cup. I utilized a variety of Social Media Platforms to reach out to potential new tourists and visitors. I also utilized a variety of Social Media Tactics to recruit volunteers for the city of Stuttgart during the FIFA World Cup.
