I've started taking lap steel guitar lessons with Paul a few weeks ago. Initially I was very intimidated by the lap steel, however through Paul's knowledgable and patient instruction learning the instrument no longer seems like an impossibility. Paul clearly explains concepts and never loses his patience (even when I'm about to do so). Lastly, his pleasant and positive personality make challenging material enjoyable for someone who, musically speaking, should probably be wearing a helmet outdoors.
Sid gave guitar lessons to my daughter (14). He was recommended to us by a friend who has a 12 year old son that Sid taught. He is a great teacher and I can tell he is good at relating to kids of all ages. It is obvious, Sid has an appreciation and a passion for music and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
I've had four lessons so far with Steve, and I am so pleased with how it is going! Steve is very skilled, patient, kind, punctual and professional. He responds to all my questions, and is very encouraging. He comes to my office in Pasadena to give me my lesson. I find that the biggest challenge in learning something new, is keeping my own internal critic under control as I struggle with note reading, and learn how to play the guitar. The fact that Steve is so patient and never critical helps to offset my internal critic. I have felt self doubting in the first two lessons, but by lesson 3, I am confident that if I keep practicing and working with Steve, eventually I will get it. Steve also shared info re his Taylor Mini guitar which is much smaller than the typical guitar, easier for me to play because the frets are smaller for smaller hands. I just bought my own Taylor Mini, a beautiful instrument which also inspires me to keep at it! Steve is also introducing some popular songs starting in lesson 3, which also makes it more enjoyable. This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself, and I am very happy that I was lucky to find Steve. He's great!
Kevin is the best guitar teacher out there who gave me the tools I needed to go on to be a Music Major. He works with your goals as a starting or experienced musician and explains and helps with everything so well. He goes out of his way and really made guitar lessons a highlight of my day. HIGHLY recommended!
Base is reliable, punctual, and jumps right in when he arrives! He is focused on the student and pushes them (even if shy) with kindness and humor to grow and learn. My daughter is 12 and really enjoying her vocal lessons with him. We think he's great!!
My son has taken guitar lessons from Patrick for over the past 5 years. During that time my son has developed such an ear for music, an appreciation for the guitar whether it be acoustic or electric, and has gained a tremendous amount of self confidence! Because he can really start jammin! Patrick has been an integral part of shaping the artistic & creative talents that come with learning an musical instrument! My son has definitely gained so much more than he even realizes over the course of those years! Thanks for help in shaping my son!!!
I take my daughter and son for Piano and guitar lessons to Mrs. Annette and she is a wonderful instructor who is always so kind and patient with each child. We adore her and would recommend her to everyone!!!
Steve is a wonderful teacher. When I started lessons I had been playing for a while but I needed guidance on where to go from just basic chords and strumming patterns. Steve tailored my lessons to the genres I wanted to study while giving me exercises that would better my study no matter what direction I chose to go. We even started coupling the guitar lessons with banjo lessons! Steve is well versed in so many genres and instruments and on top of that, he is a friendly, patient and fun person who communicates well and is easy to get along with.
Leila is the best guitar teacher I could have ever asked for. She not only helped me improve my skills overall but supported me in the most caring ways possible. If I ever need a lesson down the line, she will be there first person I’d even consider calling. She’s the best!!!
Lucas has given guitar lessons to our son (now age 9) for a few years & added drums about 8 months ago. His progression has been amazing. Lucas has been both professional & flexible...perfect for our busy multi-kid schedule. Our son really enjoyed having him as a teacher!!!
Lucas has given me Ukulele lessons in the past and has taught my son guitar for a couple years. He is extremely professional, a great teacher and very nice!
my granddaughter enjoys her lessons . is learning a lot.
I've been seeing Brett for private guitar lessons for about 6 months and it's been great. I am a 33-year old learning guitar so it's slow going a lot of the time, but he is extra patient and never makes me feel less for struggling a little longer things. He also has great knowledge of music theory which is helpful for me because I like to know the basis behind things. Aside from being a great teacher, he's an amazing musician. I recently went to one of his gigs and he definitely rocked out! He's the whole package; great teacher and awesome musician.
David is a great instructor! He is open minded about my music choices and very enthusiastic about helping me learn what I want. He has provided excellent insight on reading music and has a deep understanding of music theory, which I appreciate very much as a fellow musician. The setting is very casual and lessons are comfortable. Classes are always on time and he is responsive to accommodating any adjustments to my schedule. I would highly recommend David as an instructor for any instruments listed on his resume`.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Brian for a couple of years and I am very pleased. I am in my late 50s and took lessons from several instructors and learned mostly power chords and memorized some riffs. With Brian I have progressed to a thorough understanding of the pentatonic and major scales allowing me to solo and improvise. Brian is very knowledgeable and adaptable to my learning style. He has incorporated other reference materials I have in addition to recommending references he is familiar with.
Great skills to teach. Friendly way to communicate. Perfect sence of humor. Strongly recommended. Rouben Sekoyan, Paralegal.
So far, so good! Kids are loving their lessons in guitar and piano. They love Annette!

I am a multi-instrumentalist/composer who can teach you a lot about music. I play guitar, drums, piano, and ukulele, and I am also a vocalist.
I specialize on guitar although not limited to it. I also have basic knowledge on piano, vocals, ukulele, and mandolin. Although I consider myself advance on guitar, I prefer to work with beginners. It makes it easier to see where to start from.
I offer music lessons in a variety of emphases, including music theory, composition, musicianship, sight-reading, trumpet, piano, and ukulele. While studying film scoring at Cal State University, Northridge, I tutored several peers over the years in these subjects. Their testimonies all indicated that I am a proficient teacher, and I design the lessons to the individual's strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. I am absolutely happy to help!
