Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am very passionate about teaching music and love teaching students to become wonderful musicians! I have been teaching from my home studio in the city of Orange for many years. I have had lots of performance experience so as I work with my students, I not only offer them quality teaching and technique but I can offer them firsthand experience with regard to aspects of performing. I love people, and there's nothing more exciting to me than watching my students grow and develop in their instrument whether it's voice or piano. Just having a small part in their growth is such a rewarding experience.

Years ago, my husband promised that he would find someone to give me private singing lessons. I enjoy singing (nonprofessionally--just around the house and with friends). He found Linda and I was never bored or frustrated during the more than 8 years I went to her for lessons. She was wonderful at finding the types of music that she knew I would be interested in singing. She is extremely patient and thorough and gave me some outstanding tips on how to improve my voice. She was always ready when I arrived and would accommodate any changes I needed to make in my schedule when the need arose. She has had a lot of personal experience in singing herself and made the lessons instructive and fun. I learned a lot from her about theory as well as theatrics when performing. I also felt extremely comfortable with her.

I began voice lessons with Linda Roth back in February (2016) and I've never felt more confident and more at ease with singing. I've always loved singing, but when it came to performing in public my throat and body would start to tense up. Since working with Linda Roth I have developed the skills and confidence to free my voice. She is so encouraging and never gets frustrated when my voice doesn't want to cooperate (which is starting to become less frequent). She is always patient with me and offers a suggestion (or a few) and bam, I can do it. She is knowledgeable, professional and competent in analyzing and correcting my voice. I now find myself searching out singing auditions rather than making excuses as to not go. The intense fear, I had experienced, is now gone and good riddance! I would highly recommend Linda Roth to any student looking to learn, grow and gain confidence in singing and performing. She has certainly been a blessing to me.

My daughter is 14 and wanted to start piano lessons. We chose Linda as an instructor. She used age appropriate material for an older student. My daughter has progressed by leaps and bounds. Linda is very upbeat and encouraging. My daughter is learning music theory and also composition. We are very impressed on how much our daughter has learned in just 5 months. People who hear her play are amazed that she has only had 5 months of lessons. We would definately recommend Linda's Music Studio to those interested in piano lessons.

I started to learn classical singing from Mrs. Roth last November. I would like to say I really cherish the experience. Mrs. Roth is definitely a good teacher and at the same time a good friend. She's devoted into teaching student with better singing techniques with a greater understanding of the music. It's so fortunate to have Mrs. Roth as my guide on the way of music.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started teaching voice and piano lessons when I was in college getting my Vocal Performance degree. I loved working with others even then. After performing many years as a career, I met and married my wonderful husband. We started a family and it was apparent that my performance schedule was not conducive to raising a family. It was at that point that I really stepped up my teaching....and I've never looked back.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hiring a music teacher is a very personal experience. You must really be able to connect with that teacher and feel comfortable working with them. It doesn't necessarily happen the first time, but after a couple of lessons, you should have a feeling as to whether or not the teacher is suited for you.
