Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I try to make each of my customers comfortable around me. It's not easy for them to have a stranger in the house or around the outside. Also , I am always willing to help my customers, be it with the price, splitting up their payment, if that's what they need, painting extra, to make things match and offering in my contract to come back at anytime for a year to do touchups, due to accidents to the new paint job that I provided. I will do whatever I need to, to make the whole process a better experience. I would much rather come back myself to fix it than have the customer pay for it again . I like to provide a service that I can be proud of. . My goal is pretty clear. I want very happy and very satisfied customers, nothing else will do. That is the only way that my business will grow. Even if I don't make very much money. It's not always about the money, not for me. As summer is ending here at Capitol One Painting we are offering a 15% discount taken off your total cost of your painting project, “ exterior only” good til Oct 15th, 2020

wow! We cannot say enough about our positive experience working with Chris. He is great! We had our our whole house painted (interior) and Chris was easy to work with and professional throughout the entire process. He arrived on time to give us our initial quote and worked with us under somewhat difficult circumstances (for him). We live out of the area and had to text him paint colors, could not meet him in person, arrange for a key, etc. I actually gave him the wrong paint color (totally my mistake) and he stopped work immediately and helped us figure out a solution (which involved him having to return a second day and pick up a different color paint). He is reliable, trustworthy and dealt with my in laws and parents who were helping organize the project with great patience:). He is a genuinely nice guy who delivers a quality product. Our home looks great with a fresh coat of paint! I highly recommend chris and would not hesitate to call on him again!

I own a two story house on a sloped lot that was difficult for my husband and I to paint. Chris and his crew were excellent and did just what they said they would do for a very fair price. Afterwards they offered to come back later and touch up anything we needed that was not satisfactory. Chris went above and beyond to help with paint selection since I had fallen and injured my eye. My vision was not the best and he assured me not to worry about anything and constantly communicated with me to make sure we were on the same page even though he had numerous demands on his time. He and his partner were dependable, trustworthy, and very considerate. I would definitely recommend Capital One Painting.

I hired Chris, the owner of Capitol Painting to do the job of painting my small condo. I asked for the walls one color and trim another. He agreed to paint the kitchen cabinets too. There was no patching or ceiling work. His work was not that of a professional but rather someone that hadn't had much experience. He started the job last Tuesday and promised to finish by Friday. He brought in his kids to paint the cupboards. They didn't take the doors off and painted the doors and the hinges! The underside wasn't touched. I had trim paint on my walls and wall paint on my trim. He got paint on all my new door knobs and there is a lot he didn't finish. He came by today and i ended up asking him to leave as he was combative. He ran out of paint twice and in addition, not only do I have to buy more paint, (I gave him $500 dollars for paint), now I have to finish the job myself. I don't have the time for that as I work a full time job and am moving in within a week. Lessons learned the hard way.
Capitol One Painting's reply
Lesson learned for me also. In all the jobs that I have done on Thumbtack, this one was by far the worst it could have gone. Darcy was upset that I could not get her cabinets painted while she had handymen working on the very same cabinets. I told Darcy at least a dozen different times and messaged her that I will be back to finish everything up when they are done putting the countertops on the cabinets. I assured her that when I come back I would walk the entire job and get everything. Okay, well that was today. I met her at the house and as soon as I walked in I knew something was wrong. I started to speak and she said( Stop , I'm Talking) , I said Okay Darcy and she said (Your damn right okay! I'm the customer. I said I know Darcy, I'm sorry that your upset. I said (why are you screaming at me at the top of your lungs, I said to her again, Darcy please!, You know I told you a number of times that I was not finished at had to finish when they were done working. Even after her yelling at me as loud as she could, I still asked her ,(when would you like me to come back to finish, I planned on doing that tomorrow. She then Yelled even louder and said ( Get the F*** out of my house)and before I could get out the door, she slammed the door into me on my way out. I have never been through anything like that in my whole life. I understand that I may not get a long with everyone, but I even still tried after she had screamed at me for 15 minutes. Darcy had unlicensed handymen workers in there almost the whole time I was there. After I left and had told her I would be back when they were done, and we had already agreed that I was coming back to finish ,she said, that she had her handymen friends help her touch up the cabinets after I had left and destroyed the hinges among a few other things. She said that they told her that I would never come back. I said to Darcy,(you know I told you I was coming back to finish, why are you doing this?! Okay I'm not trying to bash anyone like she is trying to bash me. I just want to give my side of this terrible event. I was the only person that worked on her house, I had no one else with me. She read that I have my sons working for me and is assuming they worked with me and she is trying to bash me and my family. This is my business for my life. I have worked hard to learn and adjust to each and every customer but I have to realize that there is always going to be someone out there like Darcy and that's just the way it is. I have no hard feelings for her but I know that I have the experience that I need to run a successful business. My other reviews speak for themselves. Chris Velasquez
