I offer expert instruction in folk, rock, blues, pop and jazz. I am a former instructor at UC Berkeley Jazz Ensembles and advanced guitar studies at Diablo Valley College.
I am the author of "Blues to Jazz" (available at Amazon). I have been serving the Lamorinda area since 1980.

I have been taking lessons with Jack for about a year now. I started with no knowledge... and now I can actually play and understand Jazz guitar!!

I started taking guitar lessons with Jack a month ago. I never played a single chord until now and after every class I feel more and more comfortable with the guitar and confident in my abilities. Jack is very patient and tailors his lessons to suite my needs, which I really appreciate.
I look forward to my weekly guitar classes - it's wonderful and pleasant working with Jack! I can't wait to tell him the next song I want to learn.

Jack is a great teacher, as others have said here. There's no doubt he knows his stuff and he is also friendly, patient, and enjoyable to talk to. I definitely recommend him.
