I've been working with Jan for over a year and a half and she has helped me immensely in progressing in my music career. She is truly a professional songwriter, voice coach, and producer. She also teaches classes in Acting for Singers which I have taken. She creates a fun and supportive atmosphere in her private lessons as well as her classes which makes attending them truly enjoyable. She always focuses in on what I need to learn and does it in a very positive way. Anyone who wants to develop as a singer would be really lucky to have the opportunity to study under her and to have her guidance.
Wow! One session already with him and I was truly enlightened! His tools are methodical and easy to apply. He's quite intuitive and will tune into your nature to allow you freedom to explore. He renders a promising support of your choices and offers an honest view of clarity for other ways. Unlike my previous brutal acting classes, this one on one may just work for me.
insight from a producer's persective is very inlighting and helpful.I am excited to have her help me advance my Acting skills in a more professnal way, and learn how the busniss works. I'm now more secure about my acting career.
I took Sean’s Comedy/Improv class at Studio 4 and he’s truly been the best teacher/mentor I’ve ever had. I can honestly say with the skills I learned in his class really helped me with everything else I’ve done since, to my screenwriting class and even my Production class. I had given up acting a couple years back because of a traumatic imcident that happened to me at a show I was having, I completely froze in front of a room full of people. I seriously thought I was done with acting. But when I saw Sean’s class I decided to give it one more try, and I’m so glad I did. Because I wouldn't be where I’m at today if I hadn’t. In his class I also started writing again and now I’ve written and filmed and acted in a Short film, and currently working on the next one. He will never give up on you, and he’ll always be your biggest fan :) Myra Legaspe
Joanne has played a significant role in the development of my daughter's acting career. Her first experience was being cast in a theater production in Hollywood under Joanne's direction at the age of 5. Since that time, my daughter has performed in multiple theater shows, attended private acting classes, workshops, and online sessions (through Skype) for audition preparation with Joanne. My daughter is now 12 years old and has just been offered a main supporting role in a movie that will begin filming in early 2017. Joanne is an integral part of the fun, exciting, emotional, and exhausting road that has led us to this juncture. I highly recommend Joanne to work with your aspiring actor or actress!
During the time of operation of Let The Kids Grow Los Angeles, California 2013-2014. I had the privilege of working with and managing Mrs. Tracy Pfau, she was our head Acting instructor. She had the tasks and duties of working with underprivileged children of the community to help them stay off the streets and into the classrooms. She was able to work with children that possessed some knowledge of acting to complete beginners. She was professional and always uplifting to the children and respected them in a professional and caring manner as if they were her own. She not only taught them the basics fundamentals of acting but she showed them the professionalism and seriousness of the business surrounding a acting career. The ages of the children ranged from 4-17. As this was a after school program she would always be ready with a lesson plan and would not mind helping after hours if needed. I have learned that to be a great instructor you need to first have a great heart and a seriousness to the profession, and Mrs. Pfau is the total package as she is a great instructor and a great mentor and even after the program finished she was still willing to work with the children on a personal basis to really help these children accomplish their goals in the acting profession. I would be more than happy to recommend Mrs. Pfau in any future projects as I do not recommend people unless I really believe in them.
I contacted Carolyn because I was looking for extra support in a Shakespeare monologue course at a professional acting studio in New York. I had been away from that type of material for some time but Carolyn helped me jump right in and gave me an extra edge when it came to performing my homework with the analysis and character study exercises she taught me which she had learned from Juilliard! I feel extremely lucky to have the chance to study with an actor of her caliber and particularly found the biz coaching portion of our sessions invaluable. She answered every single question I had (and there were many!) so thoughtfully and without judgement that I know feel armed to make important career decisions as a beginner actor.
Im an Italian translator and conference interpreter. I moved to Los Angeles in April 2015 and I was hoping to find a valid voice coach to improve my spoken English and consequently my job opportunities. Research was a bit hard at first. Many factors came into play. Then I was lucky enough to meet the delightful Tracy Pfau. I can honestly say working with Tracy was one of the best things that happened to me in my stay in LA. Tracy is a consummate professional. She gives it all for her students. First she made sure I felt comfortable in my learning environment. Which made me understand immediately how much she cared about her profession. She was always punctual. She went the extra mile to provide me with material to study and work on, even bringing extra work home herself sometimes. She was extremely patient, she would always grant me some extra minutes to make sure I had understood all the notions. She taught me things I will remember for life and I had been waiting for so long to learn. Tracy Pfau is a passionate, competent and versatile professional. And shes a pleasure to interact with as a person. If you are looking for an accent/dialect reduction trainer, I highly recommend that you call her. You won't regret that :)
I worked with J.T. on an episode of Star Trek: Helena Chronicles. I was in town for a 1-day session and watched him act in front of the green screen while I was doing technical stuff in the background. He was professional, worked hard to make everything go perfect in as short a time as possible.
I have been coming to Tracy for training for over 10 years. Beginning as a child in her acting classes, to being a teen in audition koaching and her summer intensives, to being an adult and using her career consultation and private acting services. Tracy Martin is such an asset to any actor's team!!
Great instructors who are passionate about acting and want to see all students succeed
Rakefet coached my son for both commercial and theatrical roles. His acting skills improved a lot and he's been booking jobs regularly. She was willing to coach him last minute for a part on a pilot despite some personal troubles. Sometimes, I email her suggestions about what my son would like to work on and she incorporates those into the sessions. She's very thoughtful and genuinely cares about my son's progress. She did occasionally cancel a session because of an audition but we did the same to her so we're even. Overall, I can't imagine a better coach for my son. She's been great.
Sandy is a true professional. He showed up early, prepared, and then proceeded to get everybody laughing throughout his performance. Highly recommended!
Well he was teaching me the Foundation of Acting, he had a lot patience, he was explained everything that is difficult in a simple matter. He is awesome.
What can I say? Heather has worked for me at the Summer Art Academy for 4 years as a Musical Theatre/Drama/Improv and Voice Instructor. She is absolutely amazing, organized, an extremely hard worker and gives everything she does 200%! Any company who hires her, would be extremely lucky to have her. She was a complete asset and important part of my summer camp and the door is ALWAYS open for her here. She taught full-time during the summers, running a total of 4 classes a day, 8 different classes for 4 weeks, and 16 different classes total each summer! Heather can truly do it all, she's also an actress and singer. She does everything she takes on phenomenally, with heart, passion, patience and grace. She is also honest, always has a positive attitude, driven and an absolute go-getter of life! I would highly recommend Heather to any organization.
Mary is the consummate theater professional. I have worked with her on many productions, working with adults and with children. Her inclusive manner and thorough understanding of stagecraft is like magic as she works with any cast. She guides the cast to make the lines get up and walk! And the actors love it.
David Rountree from LA Acting Studios is the best teacher in Los Angeles-- hands down! I am amazed of his knowledge and the experience he shares from his time so far in the Industry. I love learning from him! He is definitely not to be missed if you're serious about Acting or would just like to raise your confidence level. He has a way of connecting to you that is very heartfelt and sincere.
Natasha provided exceptional professional service that added great value to our company She was consistently responsive and a joy to work with
Michelle Delgado changed my daughters life! My daughter Samantha was terrified of speaking in public. She had a fear of being recognized and she lacked confidence. Samantha played a warrior in of one of Michelles plays. She had to be a strong leader, a brave leader with a voice that all could hear. The first few times she wanted to quit, she didnt think she could pull it off. With Michelles guidance and support my daughter had a successful performance! She went from not having a voice to becoming a leader! The best thing of all is that it didnt stop with her performance. This past school year she decided to run for class president. In the beginning she went back to her old habits and didnt know if she could speak publicly in front of so many students! The next day she ran up to me and said, Mom, I can do this! I remember everything that Michelle taught me. She taught me how to speak up and use my voice. She taught me how to be strong and brave. I can do this! Well guess what? She is now class President! I know that this would not have been possible without Michelle's support. Sarah Marshall

I have been trained in acting coaching and directing by some of the leading action, comedic and dramatic filmmakers. I have a ton of personal experience and I just want to help share the wealth of information and help my students unlock and discover their inherent full potential. I have been told by stars that I am uniquely qualified and gifted in this area and they use me and save themselves the high prices of the famous acting coaches. I am here to help. I am here to serve.
