Introduction: Hi, my name is Mandy Li, and I am the coach behind The Strength Collective. I began my journey in personal training in 2012. After working at a corporate gym for 5 years, I branched out and started my own company. The Strength Collective began when I combined my passion for movement and strength training with my love for teaching and helping others. I wanted to create a place where you can come as you are and work on yourself - in and out of the gym - with others who want to do the same. At The Strength Collective, we train with purpose. Mandy is da bomb, Mandy is a reason to stay in the Bay Area. I feel so fortunate to be training with her twice a week and couldn’t recommend her enough. She maintains an impossibly perfect balance of motivation and mercy.

I have been training with Mandy since 2018 and she is exceptional!! Mandy is very innovative in her workout structure. She quickly provides solutions for when the torn cartilage in my knee acts up or my neck is tight. She is able to calibrate our workouts to use the exact weight that will push me and not fatigue me. Not only is she a rockstar professionally, but she also is very warm and welcoming. Thank you Mandy for helping me to sculpt a better version of me!! Inside & out!

Training with Mandy has been life-changing! I started my journey with Mandy about four years ago. I had lost a significant amount of weight due to a previous illness and was looking into getting my body back to a healthy and more vigorous state. I have always been an active individual and thought that I had a pretty good sense of movement; I was wrong! With Mandy, I have learned to understand correct functional movement, enage the right muscles for each action, and to love a kettlebell! (The kettlebell was my kryptonite) She is knowledgeable, evident in her teachings, a great listener, and overall holds me accountable to my goals. By far, training with Mandy has been one of the best investments I have made for my health and life.

Mandy can take your training routine to the next level. She’s extremely technically proficient and can program routines and nutrition to match your current level and goals. She is great at demonstrating new moves clearly and puts a lot of emphasis on proper form, which gives you the confidence to work out on your own as well without fear of injury. She takes into account all the variables in your life, such as job stress and travel and sleep quality, and she translates that into connecting with each client and creating a personalized experience that is judgement free. I’ve worked with her in person as well as via video, and she’s great with my teen daughter as well, really helping her see the value in being strong and active.

Mandy, is exceptional in what she does! I have a very full schedule and with that comes little time to dedicate to my health and fitness. Her extensive knowledge in nutrition and kinesthetics, has helped me create a routine that fits my lifestyle, improves my body's movements while also still allowing me to enjoy GREAT food. I think the best thing about her individual plans is the flexibility and quick adjustments she makes in moments of a clients discomfort or uncertainty. She has shown me that any and all of my goals are attainable!
