About this pro
I am an engineer, so I apply the math and science to solve real problems. Many times I get asked the question: Why do I have to learn Math if I'll never use it again? Well Math and science describe our everyday world and are used in almost every endeavor you will undertake. I can explain things in an easy to understand way since I've been using math and science for over 40 years. Seeing a student "get it" on concepts they previously had no understanding of. Being able to help a student improve his or her grades. Removing the "phobia" about Math and Science.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $36 per hour or if the student prefers, $40 as a fixed price per session. One session will last a minimum of 1 1/2 hrs and a maximum of 2 hours with no per hour charge for the fixed price session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've never stopped learning on my own since I graduated with my Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. For my Engineering degree I have been trained at a much higher level of mathematics and physics than what I tutor. I always also keep abreast of the School District's curriculum and requirements to make sure that I'm up to date on any new teaching techniques that they might come up with.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I am semi-retired. I do engineering consulting work from time to time, but I enjoy showing students how easy math and science can be.
