Introduction: I consider myself to be more than just a quality teaching professional at Griffith Park Golf Course, as I strive to assist my students with their entire game, and not just their golf swing. I focus on all aspects of the game from the physical requirements, to the strategic and mental elements needed for success, regardless of your skill level. I believe in making the game relatable to each student, and have a proven method for making the learning process simple, repeatable and fun. I also offer an introductory one hour lesson that includes a swing analysis for only $35. I don't encourage anyone to jump into a long commitment until they are sure that it is a good fit and they feel comfortable with my teaching methods. I have know and worked with David very close to a year now. David has brought me down from a 20 to a now 10 handicap.When I began working with David, at first I did not want to change the way that I had built my golf swing. I had a very slow tempo and then a very fast down swing. David did not force me to change my tempo. He was willing to over look my tempo and work on mechanics until I told him I was ready for a more dramatic change. As I saw gradual improvements in my swing, I was then willing to make the change in my golf temp to a more fluid swing. I owe many thanks to David for the improvements in my swing and I look forward to continuing to work with him to further lower my handicap.

After an on again off again attempt to play golf, I finally settled in with David Grant as my instructor. I have progressed from a weekend duffer to a single digit handicap member of our local golf club. I owe all this progress to David and his personalized approach to teaching golf. I recently contacted Dave for a problem I had developed in my back swing. He made an adjustment in my grip and corrected an imbalance in my set up and solved my problem. If you have an opportunity to work with David, take it.

I am a single digit player - I am 56 years old and have played golf over 50 years...my buddy Killain took up golf, and was hopeless - what made it all the harder for him is that he is a great athlete...David Grant starting working with Killain and the transformation is incredible! No, Killain isn't ready to quit his day job, but he will be breaking 100 very soon. I personally have not had a lesson since I was a junior golfer. But I can say with golf certainty that Mr. Grant is a truly wonderful teacher

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My services are competitively priced, with value added bonuses based upon package priced lessons, group & family lessons, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently preparing for my testing for my master teaching certification. Currently I am a level three teaching instructor, and have this last hurdle in order to reach that major plateau. I am always staying on top of industry changes with regard to the golf swing, technical improvements, and the industry as a whole.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into Golf because of a challenge my father made to me, which was that he would give me $1,000 and a set of clubs of my choice, if I ever beat him. He was a 2 handicap at the time, and was able to back up his bets on a regular basis. I went from one instructor to another. but didn't improve much. I began studying film of great golfers, as well as learning the anatomy, and 7 month later I won that bet! At that point, I was already a scratch golfer, so I decided to go Pro.
