Overall, they did a good (not great) job. After they left, I noticed floors that were completely untouched (still dirty & dusty). On the other hand, they jammed in 2 bathrooms, kitchen & 3 bedrooms into the 3 hours; this including cleaning the microwave and the stove top, which I asked for as extras. I truly believe the two women team tried to get as much done as possible (based on what I requested) in less than the 3 hour span of time that I could afford. They were professionals.

I needed them to come quickly... And they did. I needed a deep cleaning because I would be entertaining house guests from another country... And they did. They cleaned my oven and made my very tired and dated bathroom look better than it did when we purchased our home. I signed up for monthly deep cleaning before they left. I am very grateful.

Dinora and her husband arrived early, and they were very friendly. I explained what needed done, and they quickly got to work. Everything was deep cleaned, including the oven, the stove top (stains I had been trying for years to get rid of!) and the wooden blinds. They also excavated several items my teenage girls had "lost" in the abyss of the sofas! I've been ill for two years, and I haven't been able to keep up the deep clean issues with my house. When I saw the finished product, I nearly had tears! It's nice to have the peace of mind that when family comes over for our Thanksgiving dinner, I won't be embarrassed about the state of the house. Thanks, Dinora!

There was a bit of confusion on their end in that two cleaning teams showed up, but better than no one showing up. Once one of the teams departed for another job, cleaning was efficient and professional. For a 3/2 house, it took about 4.5 hours for a deep clean, including interior window cleaning and oven cleaning. I have scheduled a monthly cleaning frequency as a result, as the value is very good for the work done.

Shelle did a great job--went above and beyond what I was expecting for a deep cleaning--especially in the kitchen where she completely cleaned my oven, the stovetop as well as the refrigerator!

Delores, was very nice. I had gotten the deep cleaning. She got behind and under the furnitures. Dusted everything including the ceiling vents and cobwebs. Scrubbed everything in the kitchen and oven. Cleaned all of the windows, she cleaned things I didn't know could be cleaned. Overall, everything was great. I recommend it to everyone.

We requested a "deep cleaning" service, and were extremely happy with the results. A team of people came and attacked each room, and even cleaned the fridge, oven, microwave. Everything was super clean, and we would hire them again, for sure. The price was very reasonable, and there was excellent communication as well!

Ammana did an excellent job deep cleaning our house. We have two cats and keeping up with the amount of hair they leave is a chore in of itself. She came early and worked her tail off. Oven, fridge, floors, bathroom were sparkling! Very pleased with the job she did.

I was very pleased with Rosy's housecleaning. My oven was covered in grime that I could not clean by myself no matter what products I used and Rosy's company made it look brand new! I was impressed with their commitment to make our house look clean. When they left, we could not find my ring...I called Rosy and she looked in all her vacuum bags which I sincerely appreciated. I ended up finding the ring in my house but the fact that Rosy was so concerned about it and tried to help us meant so much. I will be sure to hire Rosy and her team again in the future.

Alba was very nice. She was a bit late but only because it is very hard to find parking where I live. She was very quick with her work and overall did a good job. I requested a one time, deep clean and I feel that I did get that. In my request I specifically asked for the inside of my oven and the inside of my refrigerator to be cleaned. She did clean the refrigerator (which looked great) but did not do the oven initially (it might have been the language barrier though). I don't like to be that person to micromanage, but I did have to ask her to go back to the kitchen and clean the oven. Once she did my oven looked great!

Nick was incredibly fast and responsive in fixing my oven broiler. The same day that I needed service, we spoke on the phone and he came over with the needed part. My oven was fixed within an hour and Nick provided a six month guarantee on his labor. Couldn't ask for better service!

Nely did an especially good job on the glass in my apartment. The inside of the windows and the shower glass are cleaner than they've ever been, and I can see inside the toaster oven for the first time. Very happy with her work!

I hired them to do top to bottom cleaning and interior windows of a house for rental. They said they would clean and polish the floors and they never touched them. They were left filthy, dusty and with dirt marks. The bathroom floor and toilet were not cleaned. The kitchen shelves were also left filled with crumbs. I called several times to have them return and they never called back. I wouldn't hire again. I got ripped off.

I was completely blown away by their professionalism and quality of work. My oven and refrigerator haven’t looked that good in years. They were even able to get rust off a metal shelving unit in the bathroom which my previous housekeeper never attempted. I FULLY recommend them and I only say it if I mean it. Give them a chance, you definitely won’t regret it. I’m looking forward to continuing with my team.

The tech came out, pulled apart the oven and quickly found the problem. The only downside is the gentleman on the phone when you call is a little hard to understand.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

  • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
  • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
  • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
