FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Gateway Legal Documents offers flat-rate pricing. That means our fees cover the initial filing, the service of the documents and one round of follow-up paperwork (like a reply to the responsive declaration, a final judgment or a Findings and Order After Hearing). There are no hidden costs. If you need to file more with the court, our follow-up rates are far less than an initial filing. The customer is responsible for all third-party and court fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to see first-time customers face-to-face for the first visit. A large part of what we do involves getting to know our customers, so that first visit is important for both the customer and our staff. We will sit and talk for 20-40 minutes. The customer will share their story with us, and we will ask questions. Coffee is always available! Once we've met and talked about the details, it will take 3-5 working days to get the paperwork completed and ready for your signature. Once everything is signed, its off to get filed, usually the next day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Graduate Certificate in Paralegal Studies from MD Kirk School of Law. I also studied political science and journalism at Pasadena City College and the University of Wyoming. In addition, I have an Associates Degree in Pastoral Theology from the International Christian College.
