FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly collaborating with my fellow photographers. I love hearing their stories, and sharing my own. We swap equipment, and even help out on each others shoots!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Perhaps its because I'm an actress as well, but I love life. As an actor you act as the human mirror of life. Its essentially the same thing with photography. You are capturing moments of life. My parents got me my first camera when I was little to pass time between acting jobs, and I couldn't put it down! I realized that I wanted to spend my life split between my two passions, acting and photography.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Wether you're looking to hire myself, or one of my fellow photographers, what should be of the upmost importance, is the photographers ability to relate to you on a personal level and/or vise versa. Any photoshoot wether its for yourself, your child, or a product you're selling, is a very vulnerable event. The photographer you chose should yes definitely be a business professional, but they should also have a human element to them. If you shoot with me at my house, you're not just my customer, you're my guest. If you're meeting me at a separate location, you're still stepping on to my set, not just as my customer, but as my guest. Find a photographer who offers those qualities, and I guarantee, you will have a great shoot!
