Our daughter's love for horses and a great referral lead us to find Currie @ CB Performance horses. Our daughter has learned not only about the daily care of horses, but proper handing techniques as well as lessons in kid friendly terms that she could understand. Currie takes the time to teach in a way that's easy for the student to comprehend-she's always looking to improve communication between trainer and student. Our daughter has been with Currie for 6 years now...as she ages the lessons are geared more towards her level of horsemanship. Currie has a diverse horsemanship background...If your kids are anything like our daughter and has a love for horses you owe it them to provided them with a safe solid foundation to grow from.... To get a great lesson/training experience where rider/horse safety is at the base of all lessons contact Currie @ CB Performance Horses. You'll be thankful you did!

February 4, 2011 LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION C.B.Performance Horses in Paso Robles should be your first and last stop for all your equestrian needs. Two young business partners, Currie Bailey, and Salina Plumb operate the facility. The facility is located only a few minutes East outside of Paso Robles. It is well laid out and is kept extremely clean. I’m a 58-year-old boomer and my goal was to learn to ride and also purchase a horse. I have been able to accomplish these goals over the past year with the help of these two women. Salina and Currie are always helpful and candid with their opinions. You get good solid help and advise in selecting and purchasing a horse, boarding, lessons, training, and much more. I recently left my two horses in the care of C.B Performance Horses for several months. Both women have extensive equestrian experience and share what they know generously. One of the horses is a seven-year-old Paint named Neo and the other a three-year-old quarter horse named Hoss. Both horses had multiple problems including pawing, not standing still while saddling and when mounting, picking up faster gaits without asking, not going over or through obstacles and water as well as other issues. In the care of Salina these problems were corrected and both horses are much more rideable as a result. In addition to addressing my horse issues I took riding lessons from Currie. Currie is very capable and has a great way of teaching. My skills were almost at complete beginner level when I started. With lessons on and off over about a six month period Currie has been able to get me to a point where I can ride most gaits with confidence. I certainly have a long way to go with my skills before I will be entering any competitions and I look forward to returning for additional lessons in the future. My dealings with both Currie and Salina have been very positive. They both give you more than a fair deal in all they offer and really aim to please. They are honest, hard working; and I highly recommend them without reservation for all your equestrian needs. Sincerely, Steve Carr

I am rider and horse owner from the Bay Area who went to Paso Robles to take lessons from Currie at the suggestion of my local trainer. I found Currie and her business partner, Salina, very knowledgeable about horses and between them is a wide range of horsemanship experiences. Both women generously share this extensive knowledge with others. They are open, honest, and sincere in their evaluations of both horses and riders. Currie is a terrific instructor as well. She has a great way of dealing with people which creates a setting where students can get the most out of the riding experience. Her approach is very positive and upbeat; and the lessons are appropriately geared to the level of the student. I learned so much during my time in Paso and look forward to participating in lessons and/or clinics with Currie and Salina in the future. I highly recommend CB Performance Horses.

I am a Bay Area trainer who has bought several horses for clients through Currie, and have had her teach clinics at my ranch for my students. She is very knowledgable and has a positive way of phrasing her instruction, which gives her students confidence and helps them relax. We have been very happy with the horses, as well, and were delivered exactly what was promised, no surprises except pleasant ones.

Currie has a true gift with horses that is amazing to watch. Not only is she a great horse trainer, she has a wonderful report with her students and clients that make a difference in their lives. She is what I consider a "full service" trainer, with experience in many horse and riding disciplines. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
