I've taken lessons up with Kiyoshi for a while and can honestly say he knows what he's doing. He's highly knowledgable of a wide variety of styles, and will teach you exactly what you want to know. Kiyo is reasonably priced and is flexible to your schedule as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone starting out or looking to broaden their musical horizon.

I dont know how Kiyo puts up with my wicked slow fingers, but he's very patient! Good teacher - starts with basic chords then has you set a goal for the first song you want to play.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been teaching music almost as long as I've been playing. I started teaching my friends every thing I learned to start a band. I've been teaching formally since 2003 at Tall Toad Music in Petaluma.
