FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge less when there is less preparation required on my part (fewer times meeting, fewer distance to travel, less time rehearsing, etc.), and more when couples are looking for more involvement, or a greater distance to travel.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by meeting couples who are planning on getting married. I enjoy hearing their vision of the wedding ceremony, and letting them know how flexible and individualized ceremonies can be. If meeting in person isn't possible, phone, Skype, or even email works, too!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Cal Poly, I studied Philosophy as an undergraduate. I know how important precise, meaningful language is, and I know how to communicate clearly. The Graduate School/Seminary I attended required many courses in communication skills and public speaking. It also prepared me to serve as an ordained minister in a recognized tradition. I wasn't ordained online--I spent several years studying how to serve people effectively.
