Latest Review: Anthony is awesome. He has great communication, designs tough yet effective workouts, always has a positive, upbeat attitude (even when under the weather!), and he is incredibly supportive! The gym is unique in that it doesn't feel like one of those massive 24 Hour Fitness behemoths that lack in the community department. God's Gym is very community oriented. Everyone supports one another, and it is really nice to see familiar faces every time I'm in the gym. The trainers want you to succeed and are not just in it to collect money. They legitimately want you to reach your goals, and that gets me through the grueling workouts 3 times/week. The equipment might seem obsolete at first glance. However, this is the kind of gym I imagine hardcore, loyal bodybuilding athletes go to train. Rocky Balboa would train at this gym whereas the scary Russian dude would be at Equinox (Rocky wins the fight in the end!). If you are looking for a no-frills, authentic gym experience, God's Gym is definitely a great place to go. I have only been training at this gym, but I look forward to sticking with it in the long run. Plus, they offer multiple training packages for all types, and it's very affordable. I'll see you at God's Gym!

Latest Review: Harold was my personal trainer and he is awesome to work with. He cares about his clients and very thorough with the training. He cares about my health and it's really easy to work with him on my meal plan, so I can reach my goals. He's one of those trainer that will push you, but will know your limits. From the very beginning, he was so supportive and friendly. Harold is a very knowledgeable coach and made sure I was comfortable throughout the workout and training session, which I really appreciated.

Latest Review: My trainer gave me the best possible experience personal training could ever offer . Time after time he continued to impress me with his exercises that he helped walk me through. i value the extra time and effort he put into focusing my workouts and helping me as I asked questions and helped me get it right . His personality and inspiring attitude is what something I will never forget . Finally, I loved how he listened to me as I explained what was in my mind , from worries and doubts to questions , and he always took the time to answer them to help me get better. Overall this personal training experience with my trainer Gabe is something that I’ll never forget .

Latest Review: I have lost the weight based on our initial goal, and so elated to have kept it off. We are currently working on increasing my strength, and am excited to eventually do pull-ups. Otherwise, Andy is a fantastic trainer who has motivated me through some challenging workouts. What I enjoy about training with him is the simpleness of the exercises. I've invested in expensive equipment and programs in the past, and all it really took was his guidance through consistency both with diet and exercise. He's not afraid to try new things to reach your goals and research answers if he doesn't know it. He also trains my wife so I will recommend his services to anyone, and encourage you take your health in your hands and entrust your goals with him.

Latest Review: Man, where do I begin. Since day one Dante has always followed through on his promises. His words were, "in two weeks you will feel it, it four weeks you will see it, and in six weeks you will hear it!" When I heard someone tell me that I'd lost weight, that's when u knew I had invested in myself! I've been working out for years on my own, since I played football in high school actually. I know a lot, but Dante showed me a new world of fitness, and a whole new way of life in the gym. His workouts never repeat, and his exercises are his own. He's definitely a coach and a motivator. He pushes you! That's exactly what I needed. A push! I would never push myself the way he pushes me. I highly recommend him as you're coach.

Latest Review: I was lucky enough to have Fana Fuqua as a personal trainer. Fana, listened to my goals, created a program that was within my abilities and pushed me hard enough to improve my overall fitness and stamina! She is kind, patient, inventive and very professional. She is acutely aware of body position and would quickly re position me to improve my stance and avoid injury. My sessions with Fana left me stronger and healthier. I would highly recommend her to help you attain your goals and create a healthier you!! One of my favorite takeaways from her training was to be reminded BREATH! It is amazing how often we hold our breath when we are working out! I hear her voice every day in my current workout regime.

Latest Review: Briana has been an incredible coach! She trained me for my 2nd 70.3 Ironman last May over a 5month period and I PR'd by 51minutes!!! She's attentive to my specific needs during training and was able to taylor my workouts to fit my busy schedule and an unexpected bought of shin splints. I couldn't have done so well without her guidance and insight. We live over an hour apart so my workouts were sent to me via a training app since she couldn't be physically with my during most of my training, however she always made me feel like she was right there training with me with her checks via text or training peeks. She always has words of encouragement on the tough days and kudos for the days I killed my workouts. She's an incredible coach which is why I've now enlisted her help to train me for my next full marathon. I highly recommend Coach Bri to anyone looking to take their upcoming fitness event to the next level.

Latest Review: After taking a hiatus from lifting, I started training with Jordan in January 2018. His guidance, structure and motivation was exactly what I needed to get me back into shape. Thanks to his hypertrophy and strength programs, and I've dropped 8% body fat in 6 months--all while adding lean mass. Here are my RESULTS with Jordan: Jan 12, 2018: 26.9% body fat | 124lb bodyweight June 15, 2018: 18.3% body fat | 127lb bodyweight Lifts as of June 2018 (no belt): Squat 135lb x 5 Deadlift 155lb x 5 Bench 85lb x 5 Hip thrust 225lb x 6 Dead hang pull ups 5 x 6 sets Jordan is highly experienced and knowledgeable--not only from training clients for the past 10+ years--but from his own training as a hardcore competitive endurance athlete. He finished a 99-mile bike race in Sonoma this May in 5:20 (and came in 1st), has multiple marathons, ultramarathons--and even Ironman--under his belt. What an inspiration!! He also lifts, so his strength-focused clients benefit enormously from his wealth of expertise. Oh yeah, I've seen him bang out 20 dead hang pull ups under 60 seconds--with flawless form! Here are other reasons why Jordan is such an exceptional trainer (though there are too many to list): *He is highly attentive to injury prevention and correct technique. He knows just the right amount to push you, without you compromising your form. He'll have you do corrective stretches and exercises to fix muscle imbalances. *He's super organized. He tracks your workouts and body composition measurements on a shared Google sheet. No old-school "clipboard and paper" workout sheets. *He is a hardcore fitness geek with a science-based approach to training. He stays abreast with the latest strength and conditioning research, for your benefit (he's studying to be CSCS). *He is dedicated to his clients. He is responsive whenever I have a question for him outside of training time. Schedule permitting, Jordan has so generously stayed "overtime" to wrap up my workout--even though I was his last client after a long day! Jordan has gone private and I now train with him at Truve in downtown Oakland. He also trains clients 2 days a week in San Francisco. Jordan epitomizes the best in his field and will help you get the results you're looking for.
