Introduction: Hello!
I provide affordable private tutoring and instruction for K-12 and collegiate math, physics and statistics courses, as well as many K-12 writing and analysis courses.
I currently provide instruction via Zoom and Skype, and have recorded tutorials for students via YouTube in an effort to be flexible and effective.
For students local to the Bay Area, I can provide in-home one-on-one or small group instruction as long as COVID safety precautions are taken.
I often will quote younger students (less than 8 years old) to tutors within my network who are trained to work with younger students.
I invite you to reach out and find out what else I can provide for you or your student! I wish you the best in these trying times!
Sincerely,
Max

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am offering online rates now, as I am postponing in-person tutoring through the length of the current pandemic. I charge $25/hour, but this does not include trial lesson time, if you'd been referred to me or offered a trial lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I try to meet students and parents through a short video chat to discuss the needs of the students and establish a plan. The initial meeting is a good place to discuss what will work best with the student so they can get the most out of their tutoring.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my B.S. in Mathematics from CSU East Bay, and have also worked as a prospective teacher in Oakland Unified School District, co-teaching geometry to incoming freshmen. I also have over five years of experience tutoring students around the Bay Area.
