I highly recommend GreenTree and Sidney!! Coordinating piano lessons and other artistic endeavors with Sidney was an effortlesss and pleasant task. He made it happen and initiated some remarkable lessons. GreenTree is on speed dial for our next visit to OC.
My wife started our 15 year old daughter on violin lessons over Christmas break- since then she has gained confidence in her playing and the sound is much improved as well. She loves the duets that her teacher brings to play together, and it has taught her how to listen more and helped in school orchestra as well. Thank you Jamie!
I really enjoy my violin lessons with Yohan. He brings a lot of experience and is very encouraging. He is very energetic and fun to work with.
My experience with Linda was very positive. Linda is a very patient, knowledgeable, and mild mannered teacher. She is clear and concise with direction and explains things so that my sons understood what they were doing right, what they needed to improvement on, and what the expectations were. Linda was punctual and ready at my sons lesson start times and had each of their sessions well planned out. She is dedicated to them learning piano and seeing them progress. I would not hesitate to refer her service to anyone who wants their child to learn music.
My daughter recently started violin lessons with Ms. Cardenes. So far, she has been extremely friendly, patient, and encouraging. My daughter is a bit shy, and she has made her feel very comfortable and excited about learning.
As an adult who previously played but stopped for many years before coming back to my violin, Jazzly has been a perfect match for me; she immediately zeroed in on my strengths and weaknesses and quickly put together a study/practice plan which has me making progress on the road towards my playing goals. I look forward to and enjoy each lesson. I could't recommend her more highly.
My 10 yr old son has been taking private Violin lessons at home with Brandon for the last 4-5 months. My son enjoys learning from Brandon. He gives a lot of focus on getting the basics right, something which my son didn't learn in his group Violin classes at school.. My son finds him very funny and likes that Brandon gives him little tips like rhymes/beats which help him remember his notes better. There are times he comes a little late because of heavy traffic but he always sends a message and lets us know about it.We are looking forward to learning more from him.
I have recently started to take violin lessons with Ms. Zabenova. She is knowledgeable, patient and observant. Ms. Zabenova is able to see my strengths and weaknesses. Her teaching style is clear and flexible. I am looking forward to working with her and making progress.
My daughter is very happy with Pierson as her piano teacher. It is a pleasure working with him. Has the right approach to make the lessons fun and engaging.
Grace was just what we were looking for when planning our company party. We hired her violin and guitar duo, and their music was perfect for our setting. They played beautifully, and Grace was very professional when working out the details beforehand. We highly recommend her for any party or event you need a violinist for.
Foxie is an excellent violin instructor! Excited for more lessons with him!
I have been learning the violin for about 8 years now with 6 different teachers. To be honest, Yusi is the best violin teacher I have ever had. She is always well prepared, informative, professional and patient.I learnt so much and will of course stick with her for my violin learning! Highly recommended!
Both of my kids have improved intonation and are happy with their teacher. Combining violin and piano is for sure a success.
Hi! My name is Carol. I am a private piano and violin teacher with twenty years of experience. I also play for an orchestra and for a church. I look forward in introducing you to the wonderful world of music!
Hello future students! I've been playing violin for 20 of my 25 years of age and teaching for 8 years. I believe that the most important part of learning the violin is having fun and building a passion for music. In my lessons we will focus on proper violin technique, music theory and most importantly (and fun!) practical application. In practical application, the student chooses what he/she would like to work on, whether it be Mozart or The Chainsmokers or the Moana score, and we learn it together! I am also proficient in music production/engineering which means that my students can professionally record themselves in my home studio. If this sounds like fun to you - let's get started! :)

My students receive a music education that is tailored to fit their needs as a student. Unlike many teachers who teach all students with one method, I am interested in what the student wants to pursue and why they enjoy music. My students will not only study classical piano or violin, but will learn music theory, develop ear training skills and improvisational skills, and learn to play with a beautiful sound from the very beginning. Students will be encouraged to listen to and play music that they love.
While I love performing, my true passion lies in teaching violin I have been trained in violin pedagogy through a program offered at Biola University. I specifically love working with children. In my past experience with teaching children, I have had the privilege of seeing their simple joy and eagerness. I believe that children can best thrive and learn if their learning styles are catered to and if they are loved. One of my goals as a teacher is to discover how I can best help the student learn. Is the student a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner? Does the student better understand the technical concepts if I use helpful analogies? My greatest goal as a teacher is to love my students. Originally, Suzuki initiated his violin teaching program not for the purposes of raising musical prodigies (which incidentally ended up happening), but for the purposes of nurturing children into noble souls who eagerly engaged in the pursuit of goodness, beauty, and truth. I believe that since goodness, beauty, and truth are inherent in music; it has the potential to transform someone's life. However, without the catalyst of love, music can be rendered to a mere means of selfish gain. I believe that it is through the unconditional love that parents and teachers offer their kids/students, regardless of their skill, that the students begin to explore the beauty of music. As far as my teaching methods are concerned, I prefer using the Suzuki method to teach beginners. The Suzuki method is a highly esteemed violin pedagogy method that allows students to play pieces by ear (as opposed to reading music). I believe that the Suzuki method allows the beginner students to concentrate on technical concepts and ear training skills without the added complication of learning how to read notes. About half way through book 2 (out of the 10 suzuki books), I like to introduce the student to note reading with supplemental sight-reading, rhythm, and etude books. While there are 10 suzuki books, I will only teach up to book 5. After that point, I like to choose pieces that will best suite the student's technical needs. I also like to supplement the Suzuki books with additional positioning and scale books. About me: I have been studying the violin since the age of 5. I have studied at the Colburn school of music in Los Angeles with Dr. Chan Ho Yun and I currently study with Elizabeth Larson at Biola University (Violin Performance Major). My achievements include: soloing with the Loma Linda Academy Chamber Orchestra, leading the Biola String Quartet, performing in a masterclass taught by the world renowned Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), and performing with the Biola Symphony Orchestra as assistant concertmaster.
I am a professional piano teacher for all levels and ages. I teach theory, solfeggio, and keyboard using easy and academic way.
I can help with teaching others violin lessons and how to read music as well as do other types of music that is needed. If they are in need of learning how to improve their musical skills and other areas of weakness in this field, I can provide it.
I teach music theory, violin, viola, and I am a recorder. I send students to do ABRSM music exams, and I have been teaching for 22 years.
