Introduction: Resilient Fitness Studio is a boutique fitness studio located in Placerville, CA. We offer affordable in-person and online personal training and small group fitness classes. We don't want to be bikini models or body builders. We just want to be fit, healthy, and strong. We want to be able to keep up with the kids and carry them up the stairs without huffing and puffing. We want to be able to buy our clothes off the rack. We've always wanted to do a 5K, but don't know where to start. We hate going to gyms and feel lost in big group classes. We have tried just about every fitness, weight loss, and quick fix program out there. We want to be supported by people who understand what we've been through and what we're going through and have someone to be accountable to and to motivate us. What do we offer? We offer one-on-one personal training sessions and semi-private sessions of up to four people. We can set up a plan to meet your goals, including weight loss, prenatal and postnatal fitness, balance and strength, full-body conditioning, core conditioning, flexibility, and more. What's included in personal training? In addition to personalized workouts and long-term fitness plans, we include lifestyle and behavioral coaching, nutritional education and counseling, support, and accountability at no extra charge. Being fit and healthy is more than just working out! We also have small group classes for: - Weight-loss-specific goals - Prenatal fitness - Postnatal fitness - Stroller fitness - Full-body workouts on the El Dorado trail - Race Prep for 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathons - Core conditioning - Full-body conditioning - Balance and strength - Flexibility - Pilates For parents, we're also kid friendly! We know how hard it can be to squeeze in a workout with little ones! We have a kid-friendly studio, play area, and pack n' play for the littlest members of your family. Please see the class schedule for classes that you can bring your kids to. What is the Studio like? Our 600-square-foot studio was designed to be as far away from gym-like as possible. We have a solid treadmill (a staple piece) but no other gym machinery. Why? Because we believe that unless you're trying to gain a lot of muscle mass, you don't need heavy duty weights and machines. We want you to learn how to workout anywhere at any time with as little equipment as possible. We want you to create the habit of fitness for life, but if it's complicated or location oriented, you will likely not follow through. With that said, we have TRX, Bosu, resistance bands, a large selection of hand weights, stability balls, and a lot of other fun pieces of equipment that you can use here or buy for your home. Who is your trainer? My name is Sarah Orio. I am a certified personal trainer, weight loss specialist, and women's fitness specialist, certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I became a personal trainer after going through my own health and fitness struggles. I have been severely underweight, struggling to put weight on, and then several years later, I became obese, and struggled for years to take the weight off. I tried so many different plans and methods to lose weight, but finally found success in a small studio atmosphere where I was able to find individualized attention, support, and accountability. In turn, I wanted to take my experience and share it with others.
