Marty, in the 9 months that I have taken lessons, has helped me quite a lot with understanding how to bring quality sound out of the piano instead of just playing notes. He seems to be well versed in all the musical genres so he can take you through just about any type of music you would like to learn. Also, he goes that extra mile in helping you out if you have questions between lessons. It is apparent that he wants to see you progress in your playing.
