Introduction: As a Bay Area interior designer, I am truly grateful to have such a vast array of different architectural styles at my fingertips. I offer all levels of design service from hourly consultations to complete home remodeling and no budget is too big or too small. I specialize in space planning and maximizing a home's potential to serve its purpose but also to be beautiful and the envy of all your neighbors! I offer free initial consultations and would be honored to be a part of your next project. I love all styles from Victorian and Craftsman to Mid-century Modern or Farmhouse, and I like to be challenged in a project by incorporating modern day luxuries into each architectural style. I'm a space planner at heart and love the look on a homeowner's face when I come up with a plan that they never thought of. I truly enjoy all parts of this business but the end result is very rejuvenating!

Tina is awesome! I am taking on a whole house remodel and hired her for hourly service. I'm new to this and she did an excellent job educating me on what to expect and made great recommendations for materials and design. I'm off to a good start because of Tina and highly recommend to others.

Working with Tina was hands-down the best decision we made for our major home renovation. Things we loved about working with Tina: 1) She's darn good at what she does. We gave her a couple of vague descriptions of what we liked and didn't like and a ballpark budget, and she came back with THE perfect options for us. I didn't believe that she could get it so right so quickly at first, so for the first few decision points I asked her to come back to me with a couple of extra options. Her first choice was consistently the best. From then on, I just knew to go with whatever she recommended. Best design, best price, best value, and perfect for what we needed - every. single. time. 2) She gets it. Home renovations are stressful, long, and involved projects. There are hiccups and needs for quick decisions and pivots. Tina stepped in and helped us shoulder that pressure, oftentimes quite literally. One time, the kitchen countertop company sent folks to measure the new cabinets but failed to let us know that they couldn't work with our contractor, but needed a design decision-maker on-site and in person. It was smack in the middle of the work day and there was no way we could get out there. Tina rescheduled a personal appointment, hopped in her car, and saved the day. 3) She's creative and resourceful. She knows where to go high and where to go low. Our kitchen has a combination of cabinets and open shelving. She got us the cabinets from one place and the shelving from another since it looked better that way for about the same price. She made it match by ordering the stain from the cabinet company so that we can stain the shelves ourselves. Another example is our bathroom shower tile. The company we wanted to source from can be pretty pricey. She purchased 20 boxes of their "scraps and seconds" for $5 each and sorted through each one of them until she came up with enough of the same tile to cover our entire shower. 4) She's generous with her time and advice. Our bathroom vanity countertop was one of the last things we installed in the project and it broke during shipment, as did the replacement. We decided to scrap that countertop plan, but now we were stuck with having to find a very specific size and look to match the cabinets. Tina immediately drove out to a remnants yard, rooted through the various countertop scraps, picked one that she felt good about, and had it arranged to be custom cut - all for cheaper than our original countertop! There's no way we could have figured that out or made that happen without her. 5) She's real. We shared a lot of laughs and funny texts with Tina. There was no judgment about our quirks, preferences, budget, or lifestyle (whereas a number of designers I vetted in the beginning definitely did). She's a great human being to work with and really a gem in this space. Can't thank her enough for this beautiful space that we get to call ours <3

When I needed to do a whole home renovation, I was equally excited and overwhelmed with the prospect. Since I work full-time, have a family to care for, and with only a modest remodel budget, I didn’t think I was able to afford professional help. I took a chance and reached out to Christina and she was able to work within my budget. Hiring her was THE BEST decision I could have made and I couldn’t have done it without her help - I am so grateful for her! She handled everything from design, to getting bids, coordinated with the contractor, and picked out materials and fixtures. She has a fantastic eye for design and helped make suggestions that never occurred to me. I also appreciate that her suggestions are practical so that it works for my family while still being beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Not only do I love the results of her work, she also made the whole experience so fun and easy that I am already thinking of new projects I want to hire her for. I HIGHLY recommend Christina, you will not be disappointed.

We are doing a large project remodel and home addition, including: master bedroom, bathroom and new entry foyer addition and remodel the entire exterior, 1 office, 2 kids bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Basically the entire house except for the kitchen :) Originally I just wanted to get some interior design help for the bathrooms - once I got the drawings from Christina I immediately knew we wanted to expand the scope of her work. Somehow she immediately got the style we were trying to go for and came up with some beautiful selections. She's incredibly talented and things of every single detail!I can't imagine how we would have gotten through this project with her. In addition to her amazing talent she is such a great person to work with. Christina has the has the most easy going, laid back and kind personality. We're in the midst of our project - can't wait to share the before and after pictures!

Christina was such a pleasure to work with. She would always respond very promptly to any of the questions we had even those silly ones. She was very punctual about timing and even able to meet up at short notices. She never rushed us in making any decisions. We really had fun working with her. Thank you so much once again.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is quite simple. I can be hired on an hourly basis or I can quote you on an overall design. I don’t mark up finish material as I try and pass on as much discount to you as possible. There are 2 levels of design I provide after the free initial consultation. 1. Drawings. When space planning is required, we start with computer aided drawings. These can range from simple floor plans to more detailed drawings that incorporate paint colors, flooring finishes, etc. At this point, a client can take these drawings and continue working with me, OR keep the drawings and finish the project on their own. This is the most cost effective if a client is on a tight budget. 2. Design. If you’ve chosen to continue working with me and would like the help, this is where the fun happens. I work with you to choose finish material, furniture, accessories, etc from beginning to end. I work with your contractor (if the project requires one) and can be as hands on or off as you wish. I’ll work within your budget and pass on any industry discounts I’m given.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

To make sure the client and I are a good fit, I like to do a free initial consultation. These last 60- 90 minutes and give me a chance to really listen and take notes on what the homeowner is looking for. While I don't give design advice at this time, I will give you a few space planning ideas while we tour your home. Upon completion of this initial walk through, we can then sit down and discuss a contract and see if this is the right fit for everybody!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an interior design degree from the Art Institute in San Francisco. The education was helpful when it comes to drawings, but real life is the best experience out there. I've worked on bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, house flips, all the way up to half million dollar whole home renovations. I love all projects!
