Introduction: Our teachers have experience in all aspects of music, from pre-production to post-production, from behind the scenes to selling out concerts, from teaching children to the retired. My personal experience: I am a rock & roll musician and have also participated in marching band, jazz band and concert band for over a decade. I have led my own band since I was 15 years old, and have also composed my music through musical notation. I have a versatile experience of creating rock, classical, hip-hop, R&B, rap, foreign, metal, acoustic, and acapella music. I provide individualized lesson plans for my students as well as a recorded copy of our session for them to take home. I work from my home studio and also provide a recording service for the more cultured students I work with who are ready to take their hobby or career in the music industry to the next level. I love my students and feel blessed to have the privileged to have the opportunity to pay forward the knowledge and experience I have gained through music. Justin Ashouri What I like most about my job is sharing something has helped shape and guide my own life. Music has been a big part of my life since I was a child, has been there to add to the good times and been there to get me through the rough times. Having the opportunity to share an art that is so close to my heart is truly a privilege. I love every moment of my work.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Peace of Mind Music Lessons was started by Justin Ashouri. He has been a musician since the age of 5, began playing music professionally at the age of 15 (tied to top industry names such as Prince, Lenny Kravitz, and the Kingsmen to name a few) and began teaching at the age of 18. “I wanted to put into practice all of the knowledge I had acquired in my studies to amount to something tangible before I began teaching. One of the biggest frustrations I had in connecting with my instructors were that none of them were applying their musical ability in the real world (playing gigs, producing records, taking part in the music business, etc.) and the lessons came across as just another way to pass time or pay the bills”. Mr. Ashouri is a well decorated musician with many affiliations as well as charitable ties to the musical community

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common jobs are teaching students (beginners to moderate players mostly) teaching guitar, bass, drums, composing, music theory and song writing. We focus on the individual wants and desires of my students so within that every job I have is different, some students want to learn the basics, some apply basics to cover songs, some applying the basic to writing their own songs, and the list goes on and on.
