- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It is my policy that each month's tuition is due, in full, during the first lesson of the month. I find that this policy greatly increases the likelihood that students will regularly practice and attend lessons. Any and all canceled lessons will gladly be made up at another time, but no tuition will be refunded for cancellations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I am most concerned with fostering a passion for music within my students. I find that it is most difficult to get a student to practice and grow when they are not inspired by the material. Usually, the first lesson is spent getting to know a student's musical interests and building a lesson play around what the student wishes to pursue.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have 13 years of formal guitar training under my belt. I began at age 6 and have never stopped playing. This long history with the instrument means I have pursued most avenues of sound. Electric, acoustic, classical, distorted, clean, and effected no styles of guitar playing are unfamiliar to me. I have less experience behind the piano, but most than enough technical and musical knowledge to prepare students to an intermediate level behind the keyboard.
